Another Match Official For Wrestlemania XXVIII – Updated Lineup Features Eight Matches

Randy Orton vs. Kane was officially added to Wrestlemania XXVIII on last night’s Smackdown. Below is the updated lineup:

Singles Match
- The Rock vs. John Cena

Hell in a Cell Match
- The Undertaker vs. Triple H

WWE Championship Match
- CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho

World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Sheamus

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
- Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Big Show

12-man Tag Team Match For Control of the Brands
- Team Teddy (Santino Marella (captain), R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, TBA, TBA & TBA) vs. Team Johnny (David Otunga (captain), Mark Henry, Christian, TBA, TBA & TBA)

Singles Match
- Randy Orton vs. Kane

Divas Tag Team Match
- Maria Menounos & Kelly Kelly vs. WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres

    Crowd will probably be drained of energy after Taker/Triple H. I'd put that where Punk Jericho is supposed to be. Divas match after Taker/HHH would make sense followed by Punk Jericho.

I completely understand her not being on the card, but in a perfect world, Kharma challenging Beth for the title instead of the celebrity bout would've made the card as close to perfect as possible thus far. That said, one dud match out of eight is nothing to complain about!

  I was dreaming of an inferno match but I'm guessing it'll be something along the lines of 'Miami Street Fight'. Kane wants to 'end' Orton so I don't think a general wrestling match would do the job lol.

Looking at the card like this…. I've noticed there are a lot of single 1 on 1 matches without much in the way of a stipulation, only broken by HHH vs Taker, and the 2 tag matches, of which one is a piss break divas match anyway.

I agree with Unknown that perhaps Kane v Orton made a street fight, or put a tag team tables match or something like that with a bunch of smaller guys, something fast paced and energetic. Maybe do the Primo and Epico vs Uso's vs Whoever is worthy in some form of stipulation match for the tag belts to break up the singles matches a little

I think that Rey Mysterio might make his Wrestlemania return as a member of team Teddy. If not that, I can only see him making an appearance. There’s just not enough space for an extra match, plus he has no storyline/feud at the moment because he’s been on the shelf for so long.

I think this is a pretty damn good,and would be just fine with this being the final card.The only match I could imagine them adding as well would be a tag title match,and when I was thinking about them adding that,I had Kofi/Truth and Dolph/Swagger in mind for the challengers.But seeing that we have 4 HUGE main events,what should be solid matches between Kane/Orton and Cody/Big Show,and a pretty good looking 12 man tag match,I think this should be an awesome Mania.

If I were booking these would be the results,team johnny over team Teddy.big show beats Cody for ic title (cause shows never held the belt plus Cody is a great ic champ but it's time for Cody to pursue the world championship.)Maria(whoever that is) and Kelly lose to Beth and eve.dbryan beats Sheamus by da then it's turned into street fight and Sheamus wins.Kane beats Randy.Triple h beats undertaker after all the hall of famers come in the cell and assault undertaker including hbk and the crowd is extremely ticked off that would be a standing mania moment.(here's an idea though Have the hall of famers beat down triple h also and roll hhh's onto taker and leave them both bloody.And finally have rock beat cena.

  That idea for the Taker HHH match is really awful. What the Hell do a bunch of retired athletes have to do with this match? And as for restarting a title match AGAIN this year. It was stupid last year and it’s be stupid again this year.

That hhh vs taker moment won’t happen in a million years. Wonder boreton will beat Kane and I’m going for cena over rock. Agree with the rest. Oh and punk bt jericho

I think Kane and rko shouldn’t be a singles match. They should add them to the 12 man tag match instead. However it does get other ppl on the show so that’s a plus. But I agree with everyone it should be a street fight match. I’m a big orton fan but I don’t think those two in a singles match will be that good. It’ll be similar tk web orton vs triple h happened for the title a while back.

Think the 12 man tag match should be first to get the crowd pumped……… The more I think about it (although know it will NEVER happen) I would have liked to have seen Kane vs ‘taker in a hell in a cell inferno match especially since Kane’s return & orton v HHH as a kind of passing of the guard match………… Now that would have been good!!!!!! I still feel taker vs HHH is wrong move – taker would have been involved in a match with a member of the clique for the last 4 years – Kane would have been due another mania rematch. Also the build up to Kane/orton is waaaaaay too rushed for it to be a successful bout
