Why was Johnny Nitro’s name changed to John Morrison?
WWE decided to change Johnny Nitro’s name to John Morrison as part of his character being tweaked to reflect his recent push as the ECW Heavyweight Champion. The idea is to make Morrison as a character that is very self-obsessed. The name change can also identify him now without Melina by his side.
What keeps athletes like Shelton Benjamin who job on a daily basis in the WWE from signing with TNA or other promotions?
WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, thus there is more money to be made in it than anywhere else. While TNA has managed to land some big names due to their lighter schedule, there are going to be guys who would rather job in WWE than go to TNA or another promotion not only because of the money they make but the amount of earning potential that they have in World Wrestling Entertainment.
Now that Edge has been stripped of the title and put on the injured list, will he still be appearing on SmackDown for "The Cutting Edge" or will be completely be off TV for the entire 4 months?
Edge is going to be completely off of WWE television for the foreseeable future. It was reported by WWE.com that he will be unable to even move his arm for a month after he has surgery to repair his torn pectoral muscle. The former World Champ suffered a very significant injury and it is going to take him awhile to rehab from it.
Will there ever be a return of Jeff Jarrett to WWE?
There is absolutely no chance of that happening. Jeff Jarrett is Vice President of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and remains a minority owner of the promotion. While I guess anything would be possible if something would happen to TNA, it doesn’t seem likely at all.
