I think that the BunnyMania match really seems to make no sense at all at WrestleMania XXIV. Would it not have made more sense to have a Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix match for the WWE Women’s Championship?
Candice vs. Beth Phoenix would make more sense and Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix would make the most sense. However, the reason why WWE is doing the BunnyMania bout is so they are able to put Playboy Cover Girl Maria on the card. They wanted to put her on the show so that they could co-promote her Playboy with the match. I am just thankful that they have made it a tag bout where more than just Maria is going to be involved. I was scared to death WWE was going to give Maria a singles match. Maria is a very beautiful woman but I wouldn’t want her working a singles match on the biggest show of the year.
Just wanted to say your website is amazing and a great source for all wrestling news. My question includes ex-WWE wrestler Rodney Mack and SmackDown GM Theodore Long. From what I remember, Rodney Mack had the same entrance music that Theodore Long has now and Long was also included in Mack's video. So my question is in what way are or were Rodney Mack and Theodore Long related?
Thanks for the kind words on the site! Theodore Long used to manage Rodney Mack when he was working for WWE so that is the connection that you are seeing.
Hey Richard! Who are you favorite wrestlers in WWE and TNA?
I get this a lot and I could make an argument for numerous performers in each company but for the sake of space, I’ll give you two - Jeff Hardy from WWE and Robert Roode from TNA. Hardy is a guy with amazing athleticism that allows him to work a good match with anyone. I don’t even care how he is on the mic (even though he has improved tremendously) his in-ring work proves that he is a top caliber talent. It is amazing how over Hardy is with the fans and he really does deserve a run with the WWE Championship. Robert Roode is a future superstar in the industry as the sky is really the limit for him. He has a great look, he can work, and his mic work is outstanding. Roode is solid on all three phases that you need to be successful in this business and I look forward to watching his career evolve over the years.
With WWE producing upwards of 250 shows each year, I wondered whether Vince McMahon travels to all of these shows and works at the events, with that being backstage or on-camera appearances?
Vince McMahon travels to all WWE TVs and pay-per-views; I’m not sure how regularly he goes to live events. Vince McMahon is probably one of the busiest people in the entire world. He is a guy with a tremendous work ethic that remains hands on with the WWE product while at the same time turning it into a corporate giant. Eric Bischoff said in his book that he doesn’t feel like McMahon sleeps at night. Everyone can criticize McMahon but no one can question that he is an extremely hard worker and has earned his money the hard way.
