Cena Hatred, Changes To ECW?, DiBiase's Partner, Draft

Written by Richard Gray on Jun 3, 2008 - 10:45:53 AM

Hey Richard! The site is awesome! I am very interested in what people think about John Cena. He is one of the top babyfaces on Raw, it seems that he is always in the WWE Championship picture, and it looks like WWE have faith in him to become the next Rock ("an all-time favorite"). In my opinion, however, he has no talent at all and he can't wrestle. And I am not the only one who thinks that way. He can't wrestle, he is always in the main event, and somehow he beats everyone who stands in his way. I wonder if you could share your thoughts on John Cena.

I do not agree with the way WWE has booked John Cena but you have to understand that Vince McMahon is not going to job a guy out that is selling more merchandise than the entire WWE roster. Why do you think Rey Mysterio has been pushed as a main event talent despite Vince being reluctant to push anyone smaller? This business is all about money and at the end of the day the people that make McMahon more money are the people that are going to get the biggest pushes. We can debate Cena's in-ring abilities all day but that's not going to change the fact that he is a money making machine for WWE. Although I still consider Cena a very solid in-ring worker. Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Richard, love the site! My question is about DiBiase's yet unknown partner. Is there any word on who it might be and if not who do you think it could be?

There has been talk of aligning DiBiase with Cody Rhodes as from what I have heard they plan on turning Cody heel. Whether or not it will end up with Rhodes screwing over Hardcore Holly remains to be seen, I know it was teased on Raw last night but I would think that might be a little too obvious. Personally I would like to see WWE bring in Mike DiBiase (Ted's brother) and pair them together.

With Heat getting canceled, do you think they might expand ECW to two hours to prevent roster cuts and lost ad revenues?

No, ECW will remain a one hour show. Heat was pretty much useless as it was on WWE.com and syndicated internationally. I'm not sure if you are in the US or not but Heat did not air in the United States in the later years of its existence.

Do you think it is actually a good idea for the WWE to keep shuffling around the rosters as often as they do?

Absolutely, I feel that it is essential that they keep the brands with fresh faces. See, what WWE is basically trying to do with their brand extension is to create their own competition. They want to have Raw fans and SmackDown fans, diehard fans, and even ECW fans. The only way to keep things exciting and to create internal competition is to mix the rosters up. Obviously with this being my job I watch all three shows and it is definitely time to mix things up, especially with the SmackDown main event picture.
