I was wondering if you could forecast where creative will go with Abyss? I know you are not a huge fan of TNA creative but I actually like their odd and awkward angles, having unusual angles is what made ECW rise from its bingo hall beginnings and wrestling fans are noticing.
TNA creative is fine when they book things that actually make sense, just some (alright most) of their angles seem to hit brick walls and do not make logical sense. With that being said if I were to guess I would say that Chris Parks’ new character will be more of a serious version where I could even see him working under his real name. There are too many “monster” gimmicks in the company and I think that they should focus more on his in-ring talent. However, I haven’t heard anything official on where the company plans to go with him. Parks does have a say in creative decisions in the company so he’ll probably have a lot of input in the new direction.
I understand that the WWE have had a lot of outside problems with their talent whether it be managerial or so forth, but do you buy John Cena as the marketing power that Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, or The Rock were?
I don’t really like to draw comparisons between superstars of today to superstars from ten years ago or in Hogan’s case, twenty years ago. A lot has changed between now and then as well as the overall popularity of professional wrestling. As for John Cena I would say that he is probably the most marketable superstar in WWE. He is WWE’s top guy and he handles himself very well in public speaking situations. He is very marketable because not only is he very skilled in the ring but he has a squeaky clean reputation out of the ring.
Hey your website couldn’t get anymore addicting! I recently ordered a month of the Premium and it’s FANTASTIC! My day isn’t complete without checking in. Anyway, how old is Shane McMahon? On Raw I saw some gray hair growing on both sides. I’m just curious.
Thanks for the compliment on the site, I really appreciate it. Shane McMahon is 38 years old. He is married to Marissa Mazzola-McMahon and they have two sons (a four year old and a two year old).
As we all know, Christopher Daniels was "fired" from TNA, where is he now?
There are still a lot of people that do not know this so do not get mad if you already know the answer. Christopher Daniels is now working in TNA as Curry Man. He made the gimmick famous while working as him in Japan. I’m assuming you know this since you used quotations but Daniels’ firing was just part of a storyline and gave them the opportunity to bring the Curry Man gimmick to TNA.
