Chris Masters, HBK Retiring?, Morrison, Bischoff/WWE
Written by Richard Gray on Aug 10, 2009 - 11:27:35 AM
What do WWE officials think of Chris Masters?
Obviously WWE officials were high up on Masters enough to the point where they re-signed him; however, Masters has to prove he is reliable before he gets any type of a main event push. Masters has two Wellness violations and a third would mean termination, so like Jeff Hardy, he has to prove he is clean and going to stay out of trouble. WWE has teased something between Masters and John Cena which shows they are confident in his look.
Is Shawn Michaels still planning on retiring at WrestleMania 26?
Shawn Michaels' WWE contract reportedly expires after WrestleMania 26 in Glendale, Arizona next year. There is a possibility he could choose to hang it up and enter into a program to setup a possible retirement match at the biggest pay-per-view of the year. However, nothing is certain and any talk about Michaels retiring in 2010 is very preliminary. Obviously one could speculate WWE could put Michaels back with Triple H, reform DeGeneration X only for Hunter to turn on Michaels and setup a match at WrestleMania. Nonetheless this is 100% speculation and nothing I have heard is in the works. After taking several months off, Michaels is probably well rested and could be considering signing an extension.
What's your opinion on John Morrison? Do you see him getting a push before the end of the year?
I am high up on John Morrison. I feel he has a great look and outstanding in-ring skills and his work on the mic is above average. WWE officials feel the same way and from everything I've heard, he will be a main event talent on SmackDown within the next year. Everything depends on crowd reactions so as long as Morrison continues to get over he will be rewarded with a push on SmackDown.
What is Eric Bischoff's relationship like with WWE? I think Bischoff would make a good guest host of Raw and I was curious what the chances are that could happen?
Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon will never be good friends. Everyone was very surprised when McMahon brought Bischoff in the first time and I'm not sure the chances are good he'll ever bring him back. Bischoff has been critical of the WWE product since leaving and didn't make any friends when Hulk Hogan started the rumors he and Bischoff were going to try and compete with WWE. Bischoff also didn't appreciate WWE sending Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake a cease and desist over his name when he was doing the program on CMT. Anything can happen but I would not hold my breath.
