After watching last night's Raw, it's pretty clear that Ric flair has a whole lot of momentum carrying him to WrestleMania. My question is, do you think will we see a "classic" Ric Flair at WrestleMania?
I think we are going to see both Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels at the top of their game. It's WrestleMania - everyone is going to work as hard as they can. In all likelihood this will be Flair's final match so I would say that there is a chance that we could see a five star match. With that being said I think that we will see a "classic" Ric Flair with all of the "dirtiest player in the game" spots.
I can't ever remember Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, Jericho, Kane, The Dudleys, The Hardys ever actually being gone for that long because of an injury. I remember HHH going down but that's about it, now it seems like its normal to have a major star out. Is it just me or does it seem like superstars today are more injury prone than they used to be back in the late 90s and if so why do you think there are more so than there used to be?
There have always been injuries. I think people are more hesitant now to work hurt then they were 10 or 15 years ago but there have always been injuries. You have to remember, for the majority of the time that Steve Austin was in his prime; he had severe neck problems stemming from an Owen Hart piledriver in 1997. However, I do feel that people are taking more risks now than they have previously with more high spots and more risky maneuvers. Nonetheless there have always been injuries.
Hey Richard, This year is the first time that I am going to order WrestleMania; I am looking forward to it! I thought that the Money in the Bank ladder match was supposed to be an 8-man match. On the WWE's website they only show 7 participants. Just wondering if there is going to be a surprise 8th participant?
Wow congratulations on your first WrestleMania! It's definitely a must-order event every year for every wrestling fan. As for your question, when Jeff Hardy was removed from the match WWE made the decision to not replace him and go with 7 participants. However, I was told that there was still a possibility that Matt Hardy could be added to the match and become the 8th participant. Matt will be at TVs tonight but I'm not sure if he'll be appearing on camera. If Matt is not added at tonight's TV tapings it is pretty safe to say that the match will only have 7 participants.
Hey Richard, with Wrestlemania just around the corner, I was wondering what your thoughts are on Shawn Michaels possibly being the man to end Ric Flair's career? Also, if you don't agree with HBK being the man to end Flair's career, or the tentative plan as reported to have Flair's career end at WrestleMania changes come Sunday, how do you think Ric Flair should go out, and who should beat him in his final "career threatening" match?
Ric Flair has had a career that has span over four decades. He can face whoever he wants and I am not going to judge him either way. Flair and Michaels are very close so I think that it is a great opponent for his potential last match. After watching Raw last night (with the Flair tribute video which was wonderful) I feel like that WrestleMania will be Flair's last match. Plans could always change but I don't see how they could book Flair over at WrestleMania only to lose on a much smaller stage.
