Cole/Raw, Rhodes & DiBiase , Mayweather, Nigel, PPVs

Do you see WWE replacing Michael Cole on Raw?

There are currently no plans to replace Michael Cole as the play-by-play announcer on the Raw brand. There were rumors a couple of months ago about moving Jim Ross back to Raw in exchange for Cole because Vince McMahon was said to be "over" Cole on live broadcasts, but that never happened. I used to think a lot of the heat on Cole was unwarranted but I'm beginning to agree with many of Cole's detractors in that his work is not cutting it.

Recent WWE television and pay-per-views have led me to believe WWE is pushing Cody Rhodes more than Ted DiBiase. Am I just imagining something or am I right?

It's actually the opposite. Ted DiBiase is in line for a much bigger push because of the December release of WWE's upcoming straight-to-DVD project The Marine 2. The last I heard company officials were higher up on the work of DiBiase than Rhodes. Nonetheless there are plans to elevate both of them on Raw.

Do you see Floyd Mayweather ever working full time with WWE?

WWE officials would love to hire Floyd Mayweather on a full-time basis but to be honest I don't think they would be able to pay him. Furthermore Mayweather seems to be focused on resuming his boxing career next month. He agreed to guest host Raw to help promote his fight.

What is Nigel McGuinness' status with ROH after the news of Bryan Danielson heading to WWE?

As far as I know WWE officials have not inquired about the status of Nigel McGuinness. Nigel has told me personally that Ring of Honor would never stop someone from going to WWE. ROH officials understand that WWE is a big opportunity for their workers to make a lot of money and would not prevent them from doing so.

WWE sent out a survey asking about new PPV ideas, including a street fight event, a TLC event, or a tournament event. I am personally a big fan of the tournament idea, and I miss the King of the Ring PPV. I was wondering what your thoughts were on these ideas, and which one of them you would prefer to see?

I agree with you. I would prefer a tournament-style pay-per-view over the other gimmicks. I miss the King of the Ring tournament and feel it would be effective to bring something similar back.
