Dreamer, Jack Evans, Divas/Wellness, Batista, Umaga
Written by Richard Gray on Jun 11, 2009 - 12:09:08 PM
My question refers to Tommy Dreamer and the ECW Championship. Do you think that Tommy Dreamer was strapped because he deserves it or do you think he was strapped because WWE wanted to push him to sign a new contract?
The plan was for Tommy Dreamer to go over in the match if he agreed to a new contract with WWE. If he didn't, he would have done a job. WWE offered Dreamer a multi-year contract he was said to be mulling over prior to his match at Extreme Rules this past Sunday. From what I heard, he didn't sign the multi-year contract until the day of the pay-per-view or at this week's TVs.
Looking at videos of Jack Evans I think he has a lot of potential to become something great. Has WWE ever given him a tryout, or have any interest in him?
Jack Evans offers a very unique move set that is entertaining to watch. I'm not sure if he could get over in WWE because of his size and Vince McMahon's reluctance to treat smaller workers seriously. Evan Bourne seems to be the exception like Rey Mysterio but he left WWE management no choice when he got over in the way he did.
Do the WWE Divas get tested under the company Wellness Policy similar to the male workers?
Yes, all workers under a performer's contract from World Wrestling Entertainment are tested under the company Wellness Policy. Not only does the WWE Wellness Policy include tests for drugs and steroids, it also includes cardiovascular tests such as stress tests. Everyone has to be tested.
Did Batista fail a drug test?
No, Batista is out because of a torn bicep tendon that required surgery.
Why was Umaga released by WWE?
WWE announced today Umaga was released because he failed his second Wellness Test and refused to go to rehab as mandated by the company. Minutes after WWE was released we reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium it was believed Umaga had failed his third test because it was Wellness related. Umaga's case is unique in that he was not terminated under the specific guidelines of the policy. Umaga is not the first worker to leave the company after failing his second Wellness test as Chris Masters was cut when he failed his second test and Booker T quit after failing his.
