ECW's Demise, Shelton, Bryan/Miz, Survivor Series

Why did Vince cancel ECW? Why didn't he just put NXT or ECW on Wednesday?
Officials from both WWE and SyFy were upset with the lackluster ratings ECW was doing on Tuesday nights. The feeling was the ratings were unacceptable and considerably lower then what they were in the beginning. WWE knew they had to do something to salvage their TV deal which is why they are going in the new direction. It's not a bad decision as many fans (including myself) felt WWE's ECW brand had become useless and a waste of an hour of TV time.
Shelton Benjamin is underrated. His in-ring abilities are similar to John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, or a R-Truth. Yet, Benjamin is more captivating to watch. It kills me to see such a valuable talent being underutilized. When will he get a "real" a push?
First of all I think Shelton Benjamin could work circles around R-Truth. R-Truth's biggest criticism from WWE officials is his in-ring ability leaves a lot to be desired. As for your question, you are one of many of our readers that feel Shelton Benjamin is underrated. I completely agree. Shelton is an outstanding talent yet is pushed as a mid-card worker. There is no reasonable explanation I can give you as to why Benjamin isn't elevated other than he is not seen as a marketable main event talent.
You said that Bryan Danielson, I mean Daniel Bryan, was paired with the Miz as a way of Vince humbling Bryan. Even though many disagree with this, shouldn't Bryan be paired up with someone with his style - such as William Regal or Shawn Michael or even Christian (since both are being humbled but also, but have similar, not all, but similar styles)?
One thing everyone needs to remember is WWE NXT is still going to be a scripted show. While it will have a reality TV concept, the outcome will be pre-determined although how a worker progresses can effect when they are called up to Raw or Smackdown. Is it possible that Survivor Series lacked in buys because WWE did not have any more Survivor Series matches?
I think the main reason Survivor Series 2009 tanked in the buys last year is because it was the night after UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2. Vince McMahon refuses to see UFC as competition but that had to take a chunk out of the buys considering UFC 106 did 375,000 buys. However, I knew WWE would take action when I saw WWE Hell in a Cell beat a "big four" PPV in buyrate.
