Edge, IRS, Sting's Retirement, Guest Hosts On Raw
Written by Richard Gray on Sep 8, 2009 - 9:56:16 AM
Is there any heat on Edge for getting hurt? I ask because I know, even as a fan, that he has been quite injury prone. Is he in danger of being released or losing his spot?
The way the WWE office sees Edge's injury is that it was a freak thing. He is not in danger of being released or losing his spot but there is concern about his future. Edge feels he is going to be able to come back but it's going to be a long road to return.
Who is the I.R.S. guy?
I.R.S. is Mike Rotuna and is known for his work in WWE back in the 90s. He currently works as a producer backstage at WWE events.
Do you think Sting is going to retire from pro wrestling at TNA's Bound For Glory in October?
Sting's TNA contract is coming up and the impression he has given the office is he is leaving the company. Apparently it will be his retirement as I heard Sting is ready to hang it up. However, Sting has given the impression he was retiring for the last couple of years so I wouldn't be completely shocked if he pulls a Brett Favre.
With the fall season upon us, what do you think Vince McMahon is going do with the guest host gimmick? More famous people or more WWE-Related people? I think this one is a head-scratcher since WWE needed something to keep ratings up during summer but now that fall season is up, does WWE still need famous people from outside WWE to keep the ratings decent?
The guest host gimmick on Raw is going to continue because of the steady increases in the ratings over the summer. The company has a list of celebrities upcoming for the gimmick with Trish Stratus returning next week in Toronto. One source told me the gimmick could continue past WrestleMania if the ratings continue to increase.
