Edge's Best, WrestleMania Tickets, My Dream Match, More
Written by Richard Gray on Nov 18, 2008 - 11:47:54 AM
I recently watched the Edge vs. The Undertaker match from WrestleMania XXIV and I must admit that Edge is perhaps the best heel in the game today. My question is, now that he has feuded with so many people that I had to ask who do you feel he had the best rivalry with Undertaker, John Cena, or Batista?
Hands down I think that Edge's best feud has been with The Undertaker. They have headlined so many pay-per-views yet both of them figure out ways to have new innovative and exciting matches. Edge has established himself as a great worker and I am looking forward to his return on SmackDown.
My question is why haven't the WrestleMania XXV tickets sold out yet? I mean ever since I can remember WrestleMania tickets were hard to get and by that week's Raw they'll be sold out.
I think that you have to look at the current state of the economy. Times are not good and many people are struggling financially. WrestleMania tickets are very expensive and in times of uncertainty like we are in right now, people do not want to spend that much money to go to a wrestling show. If people are from out of town (which a lot of people are for WrestleMania) you also have to factor in traveling expenses and hotel expenses. Locals may also be more hesitant to buy as they are recovering from the recent hurricanes in the Houston area.
I was just wondering if you could have one dream match to watch what would it be; it can be anyone in any era in any type of match? Mine would be Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles vs. Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match.
Your match sounds like a real good one as I would definitely pay to see that. This is a tough question and there are several matches that I would like to see but off the top of my head I would like to see Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels in a triple-threat match. I feel that these three guys are three of the best workers of all time.
When a wrestler gets injured in a match the referee puts up the "X" sign, so my question is what if it is the Champion that gets hurt in a Championship match, how does WWE work around him not dropping the title, or will they have him drop the title to the challenger, then evaluate the champion?
Usually they have an emergency finish planned. If the title is not supposed to change hands then they will go to a quick finish where the Champion retains. If the Champion is unable to move, they will go to something where the challenger gets disqualified or the match ends in count out. If the title is supposed to change hands, they will go to a quick finish with the challenger going over. They are not going to change the planned title outcome on the fly because no one can determine the severity of the injury. If the champion retains and their injury is severe, they will vacate the belt if they cannot work.
