Flair's Return, Cena's 3D Sign, Kendrick, Sheamus
Written by Richard Gray on May 20, 2009 - 10:40:49 AM
Do you think if Ric Flair wrestles again it will take away from his retirement match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV as well as the tremendous send-off they gave him on Raw the night after?
No I do not think if Ric Flair wrestles again it will cheapen his retirement match or the send-off he was given by WWE. Flair is one of the greatest to ever wrestle and if he wants to work he should be able to work without being ridiculed. I doubt he'll ever get the send-off he got again but so what? His match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV last year was the match of the year and he was honored in the way he should have been. I am glad if Flair wrestles again he is going to work in WWE rather than some off-beat independent promotion (that does not include ROH or TNA so doesn't think I'm taking a shot at them). If he were to do that, I think that would cheapen his retirement.
So when I watched Judgment Day and saw John Cena do the "3-D" sign, I asked my friends why did it. They have no answer to it. Why is John Cena doing the "3-D" sign and what is the meaning behind it?
The 3-D sign John Cena does means Hustle, Respect and Loyalty. I'm not sure why he started doing it but that's what it means. (Thanks Steven;)).
I was wondering about Brian Kendrick's partner. When you wrote that his partner might surprise you, were you referring to a blast from the past like Paul London or was Goldust "THE" partner he was talking about?
I'm not sure if the storyline was aborted if they are going to continue it. I was told there was talk about making Kendrick's tag team partner a credible worker such as Kennedy, Big Show or even re-uniting him with Ezekiel Jackson. Based how they jobbed the angle out on Raw, it made me think plans may have changed. Then Kendrick confronted Goldust after their match which made me think they left the door open. We'll see but it seems clear someone has decided against re-building the tag division once again.
What are your thoughts on Sheamus O'Shaunessy and will he be called up to the main roster soon?
I have never seen Sheamus work but I like his look. WWE has been giving him work in dark matches at several TV tapings and I was told a couple of weeks ago he is next in line to get called up. He's also worked recent Raw house shows. I'll further evaluate him when he works a TV match.
