Hornswoggle, Just Gabriel, TNA Out In A Year?, Bret Hart

Written by Richard Gray on Mar 10, 2010 - 11:37:02 AM

Do you think the Hornswoggle character has run its course as a babyface and he would work better as a heel? Maybe he would work better with Sheamus.

Pairing Hornswoggle with Sheamus as a heel would be much more entertaining than the character now. My least favorite character on WWE TV right now is Hornswoggle. The character is cartoonish and geared towards 12-year-olds. The stuff he does is corny and if you asked me, the character single handily took brought down one of the best factions of all time in DeGeneration X. The reason Hornswoggle has been given such a kid-friendly babyface push is because he does move a lot of merchandise geared to the younger audience.

Do you see Justin Gabriel having a bright future in the WWE? I've been watching him wrestle for a while now, and think he has much potential.

Justin Gabriel looked great last night on WWE NXT. His 450 splash is perfectly executed and is exciting to watch as Evan Bourne's shooting star press. I hope Gabriel has a bright future in WWE as the kid can work. I was very impressed with last night's edition of WWE NXT and you can still read my recap with Richard Reacts at this link.

Do you agree or disagree with what The Honky Tonk Man said that TNA will be dead in 12 months? By the way I see it I agree with him.

I disagree. TNA is not without flaws but they have still grown as a company. Yes it is still "sink or swim" for TNA Wrestling but Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff would have to royally mess things up for them to be out of business in one year. Sure they could have done a higher rating on Monday night but TNA can be satisfied with the fact they carried a lot of their normal viewing audience. TNA may have scored a higher number had they ran from 8-10 rather than head-to-head with Raw. They clearly cut into WWE's audience who didn't do as high of a number as they should have either.

What do you think of Bret Hart's return so far? Do you like what they are doing with the return or do you feel they could do better?

There is always room for improvement but I think Bret Hart's return to WWE has been handled well. Hart has had some good segments with Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon and has been effective. It will be interesting to see what happens next week with Steve Austin being added to the mix.
