Kaval, The Miz, WWE Humbling Bryan, Orton/Legacy

Written by Richard Gray on Feb 17, 2010 - 10:12:52 AM

Why wasn't Kaval one of the 8 rookies to be called up to NXT?

I haven't heard the reason but there's been talk about calling him straight up to the main WWE roster. If those plans have changed, maybe WWE officials felt he would be better off heading up another cast of talent. Bryan Danielson Daniel Bryan seems like the favorite for the first set of rookies. As far as I know it has nothing to do with Kaval's knee and he is 100%.

Do you see The Miz as a future world champion or a main eventer?

I think The Miz is more than capable to be a future world champion and main event talent. WWE officials already have confidence in him but some doubt Vince McMahon will ever give him a real push as world champion because of his past as a reality television star. The Miz is on the right track and many in the company are very pleased with how over he is hence the reason he was paired with Big Show and awarded the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship (as well as the United States Championship).

Do you find it somewhat odd that they pair the "pro" Miz with the "rookie" Daniel Bryan when Brian Danielson has been wrestling almost 7 years longer than the Miz?

You aren't the only Wrestling News World reader to mention this but I think this is Vince McMahon's way of humbling Danielson Bryan in that he may have been a star other places, but this is WWE and it is the big leagues. Christian is one of the top workers in WWE and was main eventing PPVs in TNA and has spent his entire time back with WWE on their ECW brand when almost everyone in the company feels he should be on Raw or Smackdown. The Miz mentoring Danielson seems like a way for McMahon to show him he is better than no one. The Miz (and several other members of the WWE roster) could learn a thing (or twenty) from Danielson.

The entire point of forming Legacy was to build up Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes by putting them with a veteran in Randy Orton. Now more than a year later, I was wondering what Orton's opinion of Rhodes and DiBiase is, considering the backstage pull he has on who gets pushed (as we saw with Kofi Kingston)?

Randy Orton is very high up on Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes and always has been. Orton didn't feel Manu (or Sim Snuka) was on their level and basically had him fired from the company. Randy wouldn't work with people he didn't feel had a bright future, especially in a top angle leading into Wrestlemania.
