Great site and I am proud to be a Premium Member. My question is about Kurt Angle. I know that he is doing well in TNA and I've actually got tickets for the 12th June event in the Liverpool Olympia. But could you actually ever see him going back to the WWE?
No, I do not think that Kurt Angle will ever return to WWE. Kurt is on the tail end of his career. With the shape that his neck is in I do not see him wrestling that many more years and would not be shocked if he decided to hang it up anytime soon. WWE's schedule is more grueling than TNA's and it is a secret to no one that neither Kurt nor Karen are not fond of the McMahons or their company. I think that Kurt will finish his career as an active wrestler in TNA Wrestling.
What led to the Dudley Boys being released from WWE and if you ever see them leaving TNA and going back to WWE?
From what I understand, WWE opted not to renew the contracts of the Dudley Boys due to financial cutbacks. There have been all kinds of rumors that they could end up back in WWE but nothing has materialized. I guess anything is possible and it could come down to dollar signs.
Although the ratings from the Million Dollar Mania may have not been what WWE expected. Do you feel trying to spike the ratings is the best way to improve long term rating results? I feel compelling storylines and character development are more essential. I could understand if a unique situation occurred during the "spiked broadcast". But last Mondays episode of Raw seemed to be an average show at the most.
I agree with you completely. I can tell you from talking to several people in WWE, no one and I mean NO ONE expected Monday's Raw to do a 3.0 rating. Everyone that I spoke with felt that the show would have a significant increase in the ratings because of all of the mainstream attention that McMahon's Million Dollar Mania has received. However, it did not. I think that the problem with the ratings is much more than the lack of a big name superstar or the mentality that McMahon can just giveaway money and everything will be fixed. It is my belief that the lackluster television ratings stem from a lack of dramatic storylines and creative angles. Back in the 90s in the most recent pro wrestling boom, there were storylines and angles that left even the smartest fan on the edge of their seat. For whatever reason that element has been lost and as a result the audience has been lost. No matter what you do – you cannot force someone to watch a television show just like I cannot force someone to sign up for a WNW Premium membership. WWE has to make the viewers want to watch just like I have to make visitors to my website want to sign up for a Premium Membership. I do not have the answers to WWE's problems other than they need to regroup from a creative standpoint and stop with the publicity stunts.
With The Undertaker doing the New Zealand/Australia tour and competing, when will we see him back on WWE television?
I haven't heard although the angle that WWE is selling with The Undertaker is that Vickie Guerrero is allowing him to compete to bid farewell in the tour. I wouldn't imagine that it will be long until The Undertaker returns as he was never scheduled to be out for any lengthy amount of time. I didn't think WWE had the guts to do a kayfabed "career ending stipulation" but they surprised me.
