McMahon Angle, Cryme Tyme/Cena, Raw Heels, Names
Written by Richard Gray on Jul 9, 2008 - 11:53:03 AM
My question is regarding Raw and the obvious clues regarding the show including security chasing a fan, the technical errors, the equipment falling in segments, Kane beating up Lawler and Cole and the general shambles the show "seemed" to be. If you caught it at the beginning of Raw Stephanie asked all the employees to pull together for Vince, as the show went "so badly wrong" do you think this will setup the McMahons sending out a new general manager (possibly Regal) to oversee the show next week?
There are tons of ways that you can speculate what happened on Raw and how it all adds up. I think that one thing is for sure – everything is going to tie into the Vince McMahon "accident". Whether this leads to a new Raw General Manager being brought in, a superstar returning, etc. remains to be seen.
Last Monday, Cryme Tyme teamed up with John Cena to fight off JBL's bodyguards, and this week, they helped Cena bash up Bradshaw's limo and even spray painted it! Does this mean they'll be some sort of stable with these three or is just a one-time deal that has nothing to do with the future storylines?
I initially thought that it was going to be a one-time deal but after Raw this week there could be more to it. I have heard that Cryme Tyme is in for a big push as a babyface tag team on Raw as the eventual plans have them challenging Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes for the WWE World Tag Team Titles.
Hello, Love the site. My question is the heels on Raw. Do you feel that there is a lack of main event heels on Raw? With HBK, Cena, Batista, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio. This would explain Kane's heel turn. Which would leave Kane, JBL, & Jericho as top heels.
Kane didn’t really turn heel on Raw Monday. He could be turning heel but him blowing up at the end of Raw really doesn't qualify as a complete heel turn yet. With that being said the powers that be in WWE realize that Raw needs more heel talent and there has been talk about turning Batista heel. JBL and Chris Jericho will remain top heels on the brand but look for others to join them.
When WWE wrestlers are fired or quit, most go to TNA. Guys like Kurt Angle, Christian Cage and Booker T. We've also seen TNA wrestlers jump to WWE like Chris Harris, Cassidy Riley, and Monty Brown. However when these guys make the jump, WWE changes their names. But in TNA for obvious reasons they don't change the names of the WWE wrestlers. Now here's my question; do you think if an established TNA superstar such as Samoa Joe, AJ Styles or Robert Roode were to make the jump, would WWE change their names?
The reason that WWE has changed the names of people like Matt Sydal and Chris Harris is because they do not want them working under their real names because if they decided to leave the company, they could take their real name with them because obviously WWE does not own the trademark to their real name. By putting them under their own aliases, WWE builds up their character that they own to protect their own interests. Kurt Angle is Kurt Angle, TNA wanted to utilize Christian as Christian so they added Cage to it, and Booker owns the rights to his name. I’m not sure about Bobby Roode but I know that Joe and Styles own their names so they could use them in WWE.
