Mickie/Raw, Cena's Gesture, Glass Ceiling, Mark Henry

Written by Richard Gray on Aug 20, 2009 - 3:42:10 PM

It looked like Mickie James was legitimately upset after het match with Gail Kim on Raw Monday. Was she working or was it a shoot?

Mickie James' reaction was a shoot and it caused her to get yelled at by company officials. Kim got hurt during the match, causing it to fall apart. We have the full story available for Premium Members at this link.

Can you explain to me why John Cena throws the infamous 3D hand gesture before his matches?

The gesture means hustle, respect and loyalty. It's something he has been doing for quite some time now.

Do you think it's unfair that wrestlers like The Miz, Christian, and Gail Kim are hitting the glass ceiling in the WWE because of things they did before their current run in the WWE?

There is no doubt that the pasts of The Miz, Christian and Gail Kim have kept them from reaching their full potential in WWE and shows the stubbornness of Vince McMahon. However, McMahon runs his company how he sees fit and he's only going to elevate the workers he feels are worthy of a main event push. Of course it's not fair but this business isn't based on being fair and politics play a big role in it. It is not impossible for a worker to force the company to push them as Jeff Hardy left Vince McMahon and WWE officials no choice when he got over more than anyone in the company.

I was wondering what you think about the company's direction with Mark Henry? I think ever since he turned babyface and joined Raw, he was really over with the fans, and also with him beating Orton, then humiliating Jericho, I thought they would potentially give him a main event push. But now it seems he's been pushed back and is working with Hornswoggle, I think it's a waste to use him like that, what are your thoughts?

WWE has pulled back on Mark Henry's push leading into the build for SummerSlam. I do not have the reason as to why it was done but Monday's show was primarily to focus on the two main Raw matches leading into the big four pay-per-view (DX vs. Legacy and John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship).
