Morrison, Sheamus, Matt Hardy, Bret Hart As GM
Written by Richard Gray on Feb 4, 2010 - 4:52:45 PM
I overheard that John Morrison's contract is coming up to be renewed or extended and would like to become a world champion sometime soon, do you know if there is any truth to this?
I've heard the rumor but I question how valid it is. Of course John Morrison wants to the world champion - everyone does! However, I have not heard when his contract is coming up. If Morrison's deal is about to expire I would be surprised if he did not re-sign with WWE. Morrison is in a great position to become a main event superstar. Several people (me included) feel he should already be working in the top of the card but his time is still coming. WWE has enough confidence in him to release a DVD for him, so I think they'll have enough confidence to build him as a world champion one day. It all comes down to the right situation and he would be crazy to leave WWE at this point in his career. He is very close to making it big.
Do you see Sheamus coming out the Elimination Chamber PPV still WWE champion?
The way WWE officials have been talking over the last couple of months, I think Sheamus is going to hold the WWE Championship until Wrestlemania and possibly beyond. The feeling seems to be if he drops the title now his push would have been a big waste. However, it bothers me how they seem to lack confidence in him by not putting him over Randy Orton clean this Sunday. WWE could have still started the Legacy breakup angle and had Sheamus retain by giving him a clean pin. They didn't do it and I didn't like it.
What the heck is WWE doing with Matt Hardy? It seems he has been de-pushed about as far as he can.
The last I heard WWE officials were not pushing Matt Hardy because of the legal troubles facing his brother Jeff. With Jeff signing with TNA, I'm not sure what effect that has had on Matt. I tend to upset Matt Hardy fans when I say I think the guy is a career mid-card talent and he's not near at the level that Jeff is and he never will be.
I'd love to see the next Raw GM be a former main event talent. Is it possible that the Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon match at Wrestlemania (seeing as it happens) will be a stipulation match that if Hart wins he will be the next GM?
I would love to see Bret Hart as the General Manager of Raw; however, I do not think he is going to be with WWE for much longer past Wrestlemania. Anything is possible but I think it would be extremely unlikely for him to be able to get along with Vince McMahon and everyone else in the WWE locker room for an extended period of time. I hope I'm wrong but I think Hart is only going to do a very limited schedule of TV appearances.
