MVP On Raw, Jackson/ECW, Kennedy, DH Smith
Written by Richard Gray on Apr 17, 2009 - 11:59:02 AM
With MVP being drafted to Raw, what are his chances to be a main eventer?
I think it's safe to say 2009 is going to be a much better year for MVP than 2008. If he stays healthy and remains over with the crowd I think his chances are good to compete in the top of the card. There is no doubt he has the talent but he has to keep his ego in check and respect company officials.
Will Ezekiel Jackson make any kind of impact on ECW?
There is a good chance Ezekiel Jackson will get pushed on ECW. Unlike some of the throwaway picks to the brand, Jackson has the look that Vince McMahon likes to push. If I were booking I would book him as a dominant heel challenging for the ECW Championship.
With Kennedy being drafted to Raw, what do you see him doing there? Will he ever return, and if he does, will he get a main event push or will he just be thrown to the back burner?
From what I understand Kennedy is about a month away from being able to return to the ring. If he gets back at 100% and is able to stay healthy the possibilities are endless. Like Luke Parks said in our Live Supplemental Draft Blog, if it weren't for injuries Kennedy would have already been a world champion. The biggest thing for Kennedy is to stay healthy.
Hi Richard, with the recent "official" move of Natalya to ECW, and also DH Smith to ECW in the Supplemental Draft, do you think this is the beginning of the formation of the New Hart Foundation?
It's a possibility but there is also a possibility of them working a feud against one another. WWE obviously has plans for Smith as they had him highlight his hair. I like the move of Smith to ECW where he can get seasoned before coming up to Raw or SmackDown. It is essential these younger workers get plenty of work before going to one of the major brands.
