Mysterio's Health, Sheamus, Ziggler's Push, Cena
Written by Richard Gray on Nov 25, 2009 - 11:02:16 AM
If Rey Mysterio is as hurt as it's been reported, why didn't he just have his surgery during his suspension instead of coming back for a month and then leaving again?
I think Rey felt like he was healthy enough to work through it but once he started testing his knee; he realized he couldn't put off the surgery any longer. You would probably be surprised at the amount of workers that try and grind it out through aches and pain to prevent from losing their spots. This is a competitive business and everyone wants to be the best.
Why has WWE given Sheamus a massive push while there are others such as John Morrison, The Miz and Zack Ryder that deserve it?
Sheamus is over with a lot of the right people, one being Triple H. Triple H is very high up on Sheamus and played a very big role in getting him moved from ECW to Raw. WWE officials see a lot of potential in Sheamus which is why he's competing for the WWE Championship at the next pay-per-view.
What's going on with Dolph Ziggler's push? It seems like he has fallen out of favor. Does he have backstage heat?
Apparently WWE officials have given up on pushing Dolph Ziggler. As we reported on more than one occasion on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium, there were multiple times where Rey Mysterio was scheduled to drop the Intercontinental Championship to Ziggler. When Mysterio was suspended, he ended up dropping it to John Morrison. There was talk about switching the title again but it never materialized. Ziggler's push stalled as a result.
A lot of people feel that John Cena's image has gotten really stale. Why don't the WWE officials do something about it? Is it because it might affect Cena merchandise sales?
Yes, WWE does not want to touch John Cena's gimmick because he still leads the company in merchandise sales. I think he would benefit tremendously from a gimmick tweak, maybe even a heel turn. However, the company is operating under "if it isn't broke, don't fix it."
