NXT Divas, Big Zeke, Gail/WWE, Brett DiBiase
Written by Richard Gray on Sep 2, 2010 - 9:47:23 AM
How do you think Season 3 of WWE NXT will do in the ratings with all Divas?
I am not optimistic about an all Divas edition of WWE NXT. I ran a story this morning on why it was done, but I do not see it drawing more interest in the show. Divas in WWE are completely underutilized so why the company thinks a show dedicated to them will work is beyond me. Maybe they are hoping fans will watch for the eye candy. They are hoping the fact a 6'9 Diva is featured it will spark some interest and with Vickie Guerrero as her Pro it indicates to me they are going to push her as a heel. If WWE does not secure a new TV deal with WWE NXT, it will be interesting to see if it continues.
Do you think Ezekiel Jackson will come back as a heel or a babyface?
Ezekiel Jackson is scheduled to be back in the next couple of months. He was recently spotted in Tampa and I'm told he looks bigger than ever. As for his return, I haven't heard storyline plans but WWE usually brings talent that has been out for an extended period of time back as a babyface.
Do you believe it was a smart move on the part of Gail Kim to re-sign with WWE? Do you believe she is being overlooked or underused? Or is this simply, now for her, just a paycheck?
Gail Kim has just under one year left on the WWE contract she signed in August 2008. She left TNA to return to the company because she was given a downside guarantee in the $100,000 range. I absolutely believe she has been underused in WWE, however, TNA has dramatically changed the way they push their Knockouts since Gail left the company. Gail made sure a couple years ago she had job stability and jumped at a consistent contract offer. I'm only speculating, but do you believe Awesome Kong would have rather signed with WWE than leave TNA disgruntled like she did? The same thing goes for Christian. While he's not near the star he was in TNA, he's got a consistent paycheck and sometimes job security is better than how you are being used.
Will Brett DiBiase be featured in Season 4 of WWE NXT?
There are several "ifs" involved in this question. One, WWE NXT has to have a Season 4 and Brett DiBiase has to be ready to go following his torn ACL. DiBiase tore his ACL in April and underwent surgery in May.
