Salaries, Cena & Taker, Summerslam, Ryder
Written by Richard Gray on Nov 12, 2009 - 11:18:37 AM
My question is regarding salaries in WWE opposed to salaries in TNA. Take the two longest reigning wrestlers currently still in WWE (Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker) and compare them with two top dogs in TNA. How do they fare against each other?
Shawn and The Undertaker are both making seven-figure salaries in WWE while the top guys in TNA are making in the 6-figure range. This is because of higher downsides and bigger bonuses because WWE sells more merchandise and more tickets than TNA Wrestling. WWE is bigger than TNA therefore they are able to pay their workers more.
Why are The Undertaker and John Cena tagging together on next week's edition of Raw?
WWE is having both world champions tag together for next week's Raw in Madison Square Garden because the company always likes to put on a big show in New York City. The shows at MSG are always well attended and full of energy so WWE goes the extra mile to reward the fans with a great experience.
I read on a different website that WWE was thinking about having Summerslam take place in Los Angeles every year from now on. I find your website as the most credible, so I was wondering if you have heard anything about this?
This seems to be the working plan although I have yet to receive 100% confirmation, which is why I haven't posted it. WWE wants to make Summerslam their second biggest show to Wrestlemania and the Staples Center provides them with a large venue right in the heart of the West Coast.
Do you see Zack Ryder competing for the ECW Championship soon?
WWE officials are very high up on Zack Ryder so I think anything is possible but I have yet to hear of immediate plans for him to get an ECW Championship push.

One of the conditions of the sale of WCW to WWE was that Turner Networks agreed not to air pro wrestling until April 2006.
