Santina, R-Truth, The Miz & Morrison, Undertaker's Future
Written by Richard Gray on May 12, 2009 - 10:50:02 AM
Have you heard what Vince McMahon thinks of the Santina angle?
WWE officials are very high up on Santino Marella. The Santina character was well-received by the live crowd at WrestleMania and the WWE creative team which is why they made it a reoccurring character. When I was first told the character was going to become a weekly gimmick until it ran its course I was told there was even an idea of making Santina the Divas Champion if he continued to get over.
Do you see R-Truth getting a push anytime soon?
There were plans for R-Truth to receive a significant push on SmackDown, however, WWE officials have been disappointed with his in-ring work. He has gotten work as an enhancement worker but he has to prove to the office he can go in the ring.
What are your thoughts on WWE splitting up The Miz and John Morrison?
I felt it was needed and their tag team had run its course. Both The Miz and John Morrison have bright futures in WWE and need to get their chance as singles workers. A lot of readers compare Morrison to a young HBK and I can see the similarities. The Miz has worked hard to get where he has which is why he has a tremendous upside as well.
Since The Undertaker is highly respected backstage and considered a leader, do you see him getting a backstage role in WWE once he retires?
I think the door will always be open for The Undertaker to have a role in WWE after he retires from the ring if he wants it. It will all depend on what Undertaker wants to do after his career comes to an end.
