Sheamus' Reign, What Fans Want, WCW, Roster Cuts

I think WWE made a horrible decision of placing the belt on Sheamus. He has a lot of potential but hasn't proven himself yet and needs some more development in the ring. I think it would be a bad idea for WWE to keep the title on him going into the head-2-head with TNA. I was wondering what do you think of the chances of Cena regaining the WWE Title on Raw?
I haven't heard of a title change coming up on TV and was told there were plans to do Sheamus vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble next year. Those plans are very preliminary but that was the word before the holidays. I agree with you in that Sheamus has a lot of potential, but it's too early to put the belt on him. However, this goes to show the amount of political stroke Triple H and Shawn Michaels have backstage as they are the reason Sheamus and Drew McIntyre have been given monster pushes.
I saw an interview with Stephanie McMahon recently from a while back. She mentioned how the WWE is always willing to give the fans what they want to see. Well she is not standing by her words. First of all, we never asked for a PG system. Second of all, at a TLC, Christian was busted open and doctors were right there ready in case it happened. The crowd was chanting "We Want Blood" which is something we have been wanting for a long time now. I don't get it. Every kid experiences blood in their young lives. Why doesn't the WWE stick by their word and give us blood, which is what we want to see?
Well Stephanie McMahon isn't going to come out and say WWE "isn't going to give the fans what they want". That would be ridiculous. I am not a fan of WWE PG and I think most "smart" fans are against it. However, WWE has no competition and as long as there is no competition Vince McMahon can mold the product into what he wants. The reason for the PG programming is to develop a product that will attract higher quality advertisers in the weak economy. For things to change, WWE needs to be challenged. Maybe it will be TNA, but they certainly have an uphill climb on January 4th if Bret Hart guest hosts Raw. I was planning on watching TNA and putting Raw my DVR but now I think I'm going to setup two TVs!
My question is about WWE's "Rise & Fall of WCW" DVD. At the end of the documentary people were talking about what exactly led to WCW's downfall, including the egos of people like Kevin Nash, Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo. And then, out of nowhere, they started talking about Jeff Jarrett's ego and how he thought he was as big as Hogan. I personally feel that commentary on Jarrett was absolutely out of place. Do you see it as a cheap shot at TNA? Overall what do you think about the way WCW was presented in the DVD?
I agree the Jeff Jarrett jabs were out of place but they were obviously jabs at TNA Wrestling. Jeff Jarrett has never been a main event talent and never will be. Jarrett views himself along the same lines as the industry's top stars, but he'll always be an upper mid-card talent. As for the way WCW was presented in the DVD, there was some truth but it was obviously one side of the story. I think the destruction of WCW was how the company was managed. They grew so fast they never planned for the long-term. Bischoff would bring guys in, promising the world, not thinking about how contract clauses such as creative control would affect the company later on down the road. Once the brilliant NWO storyline went stale, they didn't have anything to follow it up with. They had a ton of talent but didn't develop them when they had the chance. People like Kevin Nash refused to put anyone over and it led to an ego-driven disaster.
There has been a lot of talk about a few WWE roster cuts coming soon. Who exactly will be getting cut? Is it official?
