With Vince McMahon and the WWE beginning to clean up their product, and the recent rumblings of Sting's retirement from TNA, do you see any chance of Sting finally going and working for the WWE?
I do not see Sting going to work for WWE with the main reason being the hectic WWE schedule. Sting is far past his prime and while he can still go in the ring, I do not see him wanting to tackle the grueling WWE travel schedule. While I will never say never when it comes to the wrestling business, I think that Sting will finish up in TNA and retire from the business. I could see WWE doing a Sting DVD after he is finished with TNA and bringing him to TV to promote it but I do not see Sting working as an active superstar in WWE.
Hello first of all let me say that I feel that this is the best wrestling information site there is... period. As a wrestling fan I would like to thank you for your in depth coverage. I was just wondering if you see any big returns, changes, or people leaving the WWE anytime soon?
Thank you for the tremendous compliment! I am watching a couple of situations right now. The Mick Foley situation is certainly worth following as he appears to be unhappy in the company and could walk when his contract expires in early September. Sources within WWE have indicated to me that if Foley was to not re-sign then he would probably finish up at SummerSlam. Another situation that I think that is worth paying attention too is Team 3D. Both Brother Ray and Brother Devon's TNA contracts expire next month which would leave the door open for them to return to WWE. TNA is negotiating with them (as I noted yesterday) but it will be interesting to see if they test the waters for a return to WWE. Also if things do not work out Saturday for Brock Lesnar I would not rule out a return for him. I know that Lesnar does not like the wrestling business but if he loses another UFC fight he's pretty much useless.
Hey I was just wondering if you have heard anything about Eric Bischoff possibly coming back to WWE and have an important role as the Raw GM if things don't pan out well with Mike Adamle.
From what I have been told there is no interest in bringing Eric Bischoff back to WWE. Things could always change but I have not heard anything like that.
My question is regarding the return of William Regal. What do you think the WWE has in store for him now that he is back? Personally, I feel he is long overdue for a main event push and it is time he gets it before his career ends. What do you think?
They seem to be focused on trying to get William Regal back in the limelight following his suspension, however, I'm uncertain on how far that they will go with his push because he has two Wellness Policy strikes. WWE is hesitant to put too much faith in someone with two strikes because one more and it's a mandatory termination.
My question is in regards to the Santino Marella/Beth Phoenix vs. Kofi Kingston/Mickie James "winners take all match" for SummerSlam. I was expecting a match with this type of stipulation, but was not expecting the challengers. Why would WWE put Santino and Beth in this match instead of the Burchills? And could we expect the titles to change to continue the Santino and Beth angle?
While I cannot confirm this, it looks like to me that they were testing the waters with Paul Burchill/Katie Lea and Santino Marella/Beth Phoenix and Santino and Beth won out because they are more over. Also Katie Lea has not looked the best in the ring against Mickie James as of late which could be another reason. It looks like WWE blew-off the Kofi/Burchill program with the match Monday on Raw. I would look for Katie Lea to eventually challenge for the Women's Championship but it could be a case of WWE officials feeling that she is not ready for the main event type push.
