TNA Brands, WWE Superstars, Shelton, McMahon/Twitter

Will TNA ever have more than one brand like WWE has RAW, Smackdown, and NXT?
TNA has another TV show called Xplosion that airs internationally. They are trying to get clearance for it in the United States upon last word. As for them having actual brands such as Raw or Smackdown, I do not see that happening. WWE created the brand extension because of the number of performers under contract with WCW becoming part of the company. Since Vince McMahon conquered all his competition, he wanted to create competition within the company. That goal has been accomplished with Raw vs. Smackdown.
It seems as though WWE Superstars (the show) has become the new version of Sunday Night Heat. Is this what they were going for?
WWE Superstars was always expected to be a third-tier show of the company. It’s kind of hard for it to be anything less with the material being taped beforehand. WWE likes having programming on four nights a week and based on the way they talk, the company wouldn’t mind having programming every night of the week. The more programming means the more exposure. More exposure means more opportunities to promote their brand which in turn means more revenue. As for Sunday Night Heat, WWE never wanted rid of the show but it was dropped because MTV dropped their TV timeslot. WWE moved the show to their official website but eventually retired it for good. When they got another TV clearance (on WGN America) they created a new show in WWE Superstars.
How come Shelton Benjamin got released from WWE and what's he doing now?
Shelton Benjamin was released because the WWE creative team had nothing for him and he was seen expendable. Benjamin was cut back in April when WWE cut seven workers after Wrestlemania as a cost-cutting measure. While extremely talented and athletic, Shelton always hit the glass ceiling in WWE despite many feeling he was one of the best workers in the company. Shelton recently worked the 37th Anniversary Tour with WWC as he took on Tommy Dreamer in one of those matches. We posted the match online at this link.
Do you find it weird that Linda McMahon follows you on Twitter?
I noticed that Linda McMahon began following my personal Twitter account when I began following her. I think it was more of a political move than anything else, trying to come off as someone "supportive" of possible campaign supporters. I seriously doubt she pays any attention to what I, or anyone else in the wrestling business writes about her or the WWE product unless it has something to do with her campaign for United States Senate.
