TNA Wellness, Hart & HBK, Hart's Contract, Jeff Hardy
Written by Richard Gray on Jan 5, 2010 - 12:08:04 PM
Does TNA have a Wellness Policy similar to WWE?
No TNA does not have a Wellness Policy similar WWE's Wellness Policy, however, they do drug test. The bizarre thing about it is they do not do anything to workers that fail drug tests. TNA recently surprised workers with a drug test but nothing else was heard about it. From the way I understand it, management knows who fails but they do not suspend or use a "strike" system.
Was the Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels segment on Raw legit in them burying the hatchet and putting the past behind them or was it another case of them sucking it up to put on another great show for WWE?
I have yet to hear how Bret Hart "fit in" backstage with Shawn Michaels and Triple H, but I have a hard time believing that Hart would have went out there and done that had he not meant it. Last night was a very historic night and I have to say it was a surreal opening segment on Raw.
How long is Bret Hart going to be with WWE?
Bret Hart's short-term deal with WWE is going to be through Wrestlemania. Last night was the kickoff to a Wrestlemania angle involving Hart. The interesting thing is going to be if Hart is going to be able to get along to last the duration of his contract. I have details on the desired match WWE wants to do with Hart at Wrestlemania available to Premium Members at this link. That Premium post also details what WWE wants to do with The Rock should he agree to return as well.
What is your opinion of TNA signing Jeff Hardy? Seeing that drug charges are still pending against him, do you think it was a wise decision for TNA to sign him and do you think it was wise for Jeff to sign with TNA after all that WWE has done for him?
If Jeff Hardy failed his third drug test with WWE as is being reported, I do not think he had a choice. Even if Hardy didn't get his third strike, it's a huge acquisition for TNA as they locked up one of the top free agents in the business. Apparently TNA officials are confident Hardy is not going to stand trial on drug charges but we'll learn much more about that after Hardy's hearing on January 27th. On the surface the acquisition of Jeff Hardy is very big. If it doesn't work out, TNA still had him for their biggest show in company history so I still think it pays off. TNA literally had nothing to lose last night and they came out with guns blazing. I am very interested to see what happened with the ratings.
