My question is regarding the pending release of Tomko from TNA is it just me or are TNA making a huge mistake in releasing him, it doesn't make any sense as he was under used as a face when he was getting more reaction then most the main event stars at one point and what do they do but turn him heel then just bury him.
I have not heard the full details on the release of Tomko. I'm not sure if he was forced out or if he decided to leave on his own terms. Tomko had heat with TNA management ever since he missed the fanfest before Lockdown when TNA officials told him that he needed to be there. The story that I heard was that Tomko was booked in Japan that weekend and decided to work there instead of going to the fanfest. With Tomko leaving TNA, I fully expect him to try to get work with New Japan Pro Wrestling. NJPW cut ties with Tomko but it may have had something to do with him being unable to be a full-time employee of their company.
What can you tell me about Mike Adamle? About his past and how he got his start in the WWE?
Mike Adamle is a former NFL football player as he had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears as a running back in the 1970s. Adamle has worked in broadcasting but his last mainstream gig was as the co-host of the original American Gladiators from 1989 to 1996. Adamle was working for NBC 5 out of Chicago as a sports anchor but I'm not sure if he is still doing that or not with his increased role in WWE. Adamle is reportedly making $300,000 a year from WWE.
Why was Triple H not featured on SmackDown this past Friday night?
Hunter was not at last week's tapings because of the birth of his daughter which he and Stephanie celebrated on Monday. I would expect him to return to TV this week.
Other then when I started watching TNA, I have never heard of Don West. What's his background in the industry?
Don West used to work for the Shop at Home Network. West made a name for himself with his loud, overbearing sales pitches that apparently moved a lot of merchandise. West had to compete for the color commentary position in TNA and ended up getting it. I was told that Vince Russo tried to hire West when he was working in WCW but the deal never happened.
