Wellness Cover-Up?, Matt Morgan, Jeff Hardy, More

Written by Richard Gray on Aug 28, 2009 - 11:58:58 AM

I read awhile ago there was a major cover-up of a WWE Superstar who failed a drug test. Is this Rey Mysterio and if so why was he allowed to hold onto the Intercontinental Championship for so long?

The rumors of WWE covering up a Wellness Policy violation were unfounded propaganda. WWE is a publicly-traded company and would not be able to cover up a violation as they release the names of violators.

What are your thoughts on Matt Morgan?

I think Matt Morgan has a great look and is a good worker. I would have not been against him winning the TNA Championship at Hard Justice and feel he would work well as champion. Morgan is an underrated worker in my opinion.

Why did Jeff Hardy choose to leave after finally being given the World Heavyweight Championship? Was it just WWE trying to convince him to stay?

From everything I've heard Jeff Hardy was suffering from burn out and just wanted to take some time off the road. He's been through a lot over the past couple of years and I can understand why he feels he needs a break. WWE officials aren't thrilled about him leaving but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Everyone feels that Jeff will be back after taking several months off.

You recently commented on the Breaking Point submission gimmick. I think that it is a bad idea because it makes things to predictable. Do you really think the Undertaker will tap out to CM Punk or that John Cena will say "I Quit."? Do you agree that the main event matches will be too predictable?

I think it makes the event interesting because it adds those questions. Will we see The Undertaker tap out to CM Punk? Will John Cena say "I Quit" to Randy Orton? Neither seems likely but at least we are talking about the main events of the pay-per-view. If WWE sticks to the book and adds no surprise I may have different feelings but I'm willing to give the pay-per-view a chance. A lot of people in this business, especially Internet fans, like to condemn things before they even happen. I think we must remain open-minded until we are proved wrong.
