I attended the WWE Raw taping at the IZOD Center in NJ this past Monday. I've realized that when the show went off the air Triple-H was really angry and got out the ring after he pedigreed Orton, walked over to the announcers' table and complained about what it seemed to be about Regal on how he ended the match. My question is; Is it necessary to keep on pretending to play the role even if you're off the air? There were some real emotions showing from both sides.
Not only is it necessary to keep working after the cameras stop rolling, it is essential. Once a wrestler goes through that curtain they are to remain in-character until they go back to the locker room. Before the days of the Internet, when the professional wrestling industry was still a mystery, wrestlers remained in-character anytime they were in a public situation. That was one of the unwritten rules of professional wrestling – never break character under any circumstance. Bret Hart wrote in his book how he would remain in-character while drinking in bars or just going out for dinner. With the Internet and all of the other sources that break kayfabe – that rule no longer exists today.
Do you think Kofi Kingston will ever be more than just an ECW wrestler?
I certainly think that Kofi Kingston has a bright future in WWE, however, one can only guess as to how far he will make it. Kofi has a unique move set and is a good in-ring talent. He is getting more over with the fans each week but he remains a work in progress. His current undefeated streak is to build him up and give him credibility.
Why does it seem like Chris Harris is not working any dark matches in WWE despite Killings working on a regular basis? Is there a reason for this?
When Chris Harris showed up to work his first dark match with WWE a couple of months ago he was very overweight. WWE officials were not pleased and sent him back to Tampa to get his weight down. I have not heard anything recently about Harris, however, he is not on pace with Ron Killings because of that issue.
I was wondering if any of the current WWE Divas have children? If so, are the children allowed to come on the road with them?
Do not quote me on this but I do not believe that there are any current WWE Divas that have children. As for them being allowed to go on the road with them, there are no restrictions as the wrestlers have to pay their own way on the road so WWE cannot regulate who travels with them.
