Work Visa, Jarrett, Hardy/TNA, Morrison vs. Mysterio, ROH
Written by Richard Gray on Sep 7, 2009 - 10:53:02 AM
What exactly is a work visa and how can it prevent a worker from working in WWE or TNA?
If you are not a legal citizen of the United States you have to apply for a new work visa every time you start with a new employer. Apparently TNA let Angelina Love work without a work visa which is illegal.
What is Jeff Jarrett's status with TNA Wrestling? Is he still a minority owner of the company?
Jeff Jarrett is still an executive in TNA Wrestling. He is currently in Australia with Jeremy Borash, promoting TNA's upcoming tour in the country. Jarrett has been away from the company over the past couple months on personal leave. He still owns 25% of TNA Wrestling.
I know Jeff Hardy left TNA on bad terms but do you see him going back considering the awesome scheduling?
I don't think there is any question that TNA would welcome Jeff Hardy back with open arms given his superstar status, however, I think Jeff is focusing on things outside of wrestling. When/if Jeff decides to return to the wrestling business, I think it will be with WWE although anything is possible.
After watching John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio on SmackDown I got goosebumps. This match proves Morrison has the makings of a Superstar. I saw the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania and assumed that would be the match of the year. After watching this match I am torn. I am wondering what your opinion of this match was and if you think it is at the top of the list for match of the year.
The match was outstanding and certainly a candidate for the best television match of the year, however, I do not think anything can top Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25. Their bout will go down as one of the best of all time. John Morrison is a superstar in the making and I think Rey Mysterio wanted to show WWE officials in the match just how good he is. It doesn't matter who Mysterio works against, he makes them look good because of how talented that he is. That's not to take away from Morrison as his work was great but it never hurts working with Rey.
With WWE signing Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson, do you see ROH in any sort of trouble after losing two top stars?
It will be impossible to replace workers like Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson but the way the Ring of Honor product is structured I think they will be able to recover. ROH pushes all of their workers as big-time superstars which helps them when they lose a big name. ROH is a very small company in comparison to WWE and they have to be ready to lose their established workers.
