Hey Richard! With WrestleMania XXIV less than one week away, how do you feel like the card has shaped up and what match are you looking forward to the most?
On paper the card is not overly extravagant; however, I think that it has potential to be an excellent pay-per-view. The triple-threat match for the WWE Championship, Undertaker vs. Edge, the Money in the Bank ladder match, and Ric Flair's retirement match are all very compelling and either one could steal the show. It would be impossible for me to pick one match that I am looking forward to the most as you could make an argument for any of the matches that I just listed to be the main event of any other WWE pay-per-view. I have a good feeling that we are in for a dandy on Sunday.
I am going to WrestleMania XXIV on Sunday. I am wondering if it rains as it says it is supposed to online what is the plan?
WWE has already built a large steel structure that goes from the locker room to the ring to protect from rain. There is a similar structure that is going to be above the ring. However, if you are in the crowd you are probably going to have to just tough it out if it rains. I would bring a rain slicker.
I have a question regarding Mark Henry. I was wondering why the WWE never gave him any other championship reigns, other than the European championship?
Mark Henry lacks versatility, he is inconsistent with his ring work, he does not have a very good look, and he has been known to hurt people in the ring. While he is not the worst performer on the roster, he is a very mediocre talent. His mic skills are very subpar as well. The company likes the fact that they can bill him as the "World's Strongest Man" but other than that there is not much to him. Mark Henry is a career mid-card talent that is not going to job because of his size. I respect him for his strength but he is not what the company is looking for in terms of main event talent.
Who is your favorite ring announcer?
Call me old school but I like Howard Finkel. In the 90s I was also a pretty big fan of David Penzer (who now does work for TNA) in WCW as I can remember Ryan and me as teenagers seeing who could do the best impression of his announcing. Michael Buffer is outstanding but I would not really consider him a professional wrestling ring announcer.
