WWE After Vince, Babyface Turns, House Show Decisions

Written by Richard Gray on May 29, 2009 - 10:47:06 AM

Who do you think will run WWE when Vince McMahon retires?

I have a hard time believing Vince McMahon will ever retire. McMahon will run WWE until he is unable to do so. Once that happens, which I don't think will be anytime soon, the business will stay in the McMahon family. I think Shane McMahon will head things up with his wife Marissa, Stephanie and Triple H holding the executive officer positions.

Crowd's babyface reactions with superstars such as Kennedy, MVP or, more recently, John Morrison have really surprised me. How does WWE make sure a turn (especially from heel to face, harder in my opinion) is successful?

There is no sure way to tell whether or not a turn is going to work. The only way to do it is book it and give it a try. Usually WWE creative will do it in a way sure to garner the appropriate action. It all depends on the way the fans react on how the turn continues. Usually when the decision is made to turn a worker from babyface to heel or heel to babyface, the company goes with it and lets it run its course.

On house shows do the wrestlers have road agents in the back giving them a plan and winner for their matches?

Yes, the road agents or producers (as they are called in WWE) give the match decisions to the workers at WWE house shows. Everything is booked from creative, goes to the producers and is given to the wrestlers.
