Let me start off by saying that your site is one of the best if not the best site when it comes to wrestling news and information. I am definitely hooked on your page. My question is about WWE. I was wondering if WWE has any working relations with any other mainstream organizations outside the U.S. (i.e. New Japan)? Do you think that an exchange of talent would help wrestlers on the WWE roster develop their in ring work abilities overall or would it just complicate the WWE style of wrestling?
Thanks for the compliments regarding the site! No, WWE does not have any working relations with any other mainstream organization – domestic or international. WWE has a huge international presence and in most cases is more popular than the most dominant organization in a foreign country. Vince McMahon is very protective of his product as WWE was recently in Japan for a tour and there were pictures of WWE talent with New Japan Pro Wrestling talent on their website, WWE referred to the New Japan guys as “fans.” This is another reason that I am absolutely stunned about WWE.com’s Industry News section.
Is it true that WrestleMania 25 will be in Houston, Texas?
Yes, WrestleMania 25 will take place Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on Sunday April, 5, 2009. Reliant Stadium is home of the NFL’s Houston Texans.
Has Chris Parks (Abyss) retired from pro wrestling?
No. Parks is actually working behind-the-scenes in TNA right now and is sitting in on creative meetings. From what I have gathered the company is thinking of repackaging him under a new gimmick which I think is more than needed.
Hey Richard I was just wondering if WWE has ever thought about bringing Chris Harris in early to fill Jeff Hardy's spot at the Money in the bank ladder match?
That was never considered. Chris Harris actually made his debut in a dark match against Shelton Benjamin at the ECW/SmackDown tapings in Chicago, Illinois last night. The company is planning on putting him on television but I have not heard anything about him in the MITB ladder match at WrestleMania.
What is a Belfast Brawl? Is it a spin-off of a previous gimmick match the WWE has done?
A Belfast Brawl is nothing more than a hardcore match.
