Ziggler's Future, Title Changes, The Miz/Raw, Beth Phoenix
Written by Richard Gray on Apr 28, 2009 - 1:34:57 PM
Do you think Dolph Ziggler has a bright future in WWE?
Dolph Ziggler has the look, the ring work, and the mic skills to be successful in WWE. I really think if he is booked correctly he can be a legitimate upper mid card worker. He'll have the chance to impress company officials at tonight's SmackDown/ECW taping as he gets to face MVP for the United States Championship in a match that will air on this week's SmackDown.
How do you feel about all three major titles changing hands at Backlash? Do you think it was a bad idea to have every major title change hands at one event, especially with Cena losing only three weeks after winning the title back?
I liked all three world championships (if we can call the ECW Championship a world championship) changing hands at Backlash. I realize John Cena had a short run but something had to be done to get a belt back on SmackDown. Things needed to be shaken up and it was the perfect time to put the WWE Championship on Randy Orton. The massive heel response he received on Raw last night alone was evidence of just how over he is right now.
With the recent promo on Raw, I think The Miz has what it takes to talk with the main event status superstars. But do you think he will get to main event status any time soon?
I'm assuming you are talking about the promo The Miz did on last night's show and I have to say, I didn't like it as much as you. It seemed like to me the crowd was having a hard time buying him as a top talent and didn't take his challenge to John Cena seriously. With that being said I do think The Miz has a bright future in WWE but it falls on the creative team to get him in storylines that can effectively get him over. He has all the talent in the world, but as I mentioned above with Dolph Ziggler, it all comes down to capitalizing on the right situation.
Is Beth Phoenix going to reveal Santino Marella who is behind the fact that he is acting as his twin sister Santina and do you see Beth turning babyface?
They are really already revealed it. Beth explained to The Great Khali at Backlash Santina was really Santino Marella. I don't see Beth turning babyface anytime soon with WWE booking Santina as a babyface. We'll see but the whole gimmick is comedy.
