Backstage News From This Week’s WWE Raw – Three Examples Of Head-Scratching Inconstancies With Storylines, Why The Shows Have No Flow, When The Final Script Was Completed, John Cena Healthy Mystery

Things were out of sync again this week backstage at WWE Raw. I was told at 6 PM EDT the final script wasn’t ready and would come down just before the show went live. Let’s take a look at some of the head scratchers:

  • One week Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara are partners WWE wants to push as a team, then they are against one another on the pay-per-view, only to be partners again this week on Raw.
  • Vince McMahon wants a tag division one week, doesn’t the next, then has four teams on Raw this week.
  • One week Brodus Clay is set to feud with Damien Sandow, then Cody Rhodes and now onto Antonio Cesaro.

I’m told the inconstancies have to do with the fact the scripts are written in portions and put together once completed. The shows don’t flow quarter to quarter let alone week to week and certainly not month to month.

We still don’t have full details on John Cena other than what I posted here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com. Apparently some people knew he was having surgery Tuesday while others did not.

what's so strange with Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara teaming together and then on a PPV fighting against each other for Title even if it is the Miz's IC title along with Cody Rhodes.

HHH and HBK were partners and have faced each other before in title matches along with other wrestlers.

Survivor Series 2009 comes to mind when they faced each other along with Cena for his WWE title. another time it was HHH, HBK, Cena and Big Show. for a title shot.

The problem is that Rey and Sin Cara haven't been established long enough as a tag team for it to be 'ok' in the eyes of most fans to already be fighting against each other, even if the match has other wrestlers in it.

To mention HHH & HBK doesn't help your point. Fans of today look at them as a tag team first and on their own second. Older fans know the history of them, yes, but it's not older fans that WWE is going for today, is it? Before the '09 SS match- they were booked at a tag team for months prior, so it didn't hurt the view of them as a team when that match happened. Having Rey and Cara face off in a match(regardless of other wrestlers being in it) only what, 2 or 3 weeks after they first started teaming up makes no sense and hurts the selling point of them being a tag team that can work in the eyes of the fans.

I agree with the first comment. Also there was 5 tag teams on raw.. And what do they do all week.. If the writers wrote the show by fri than it should be able to flow.. Who is running this joint??

Vince turns down the script many times before Monday because he doesn’t like the way it is.Remember he has the final say so with everything.

I don't see what was so head scratching about any of those things. There have been plenty of part time tag teams that have gone after the same singles title in a multi man match on PPV only to back to teaming after the PPV is over. As far Brodus Clay goes I thought his feud with Sandow was over when Sandow beat him a couple of weeks ago and Clay got his revenge after the match was over, unless the feud isn't considered over until the face wins the final match. Also I don't know anything about the Cody Rhodes feud because I don't remember them even interacting on TV so I don't think they were ever feuding.
