Why TVs Seemed More Organized This Week, How WWE Ruined The Rawactive Concept, One Midcarder Vince McMahon Is High Up On, What WWE Wants From Sheamus, Del Rio & Rosa, A Fourth Member Of The Shield? & More Backstage News From WWE Raw

- We’re told this week’s WWE Raw was written over the weekend and there weren’t any major changes the day of the show. One “major thing” that backfired was the company’s estimation of how the Rawactive poll would go. One observer commented how anyone thought Kane would get more Twitter votes than Daniel Bryan [for CM Punk's opponent] shows their disconnect with the audience. Despite Kane being the on-air winner of the poll, Bryan clearly won the voting and they ended up making a joke out of the Rawactive concept.

- There were a lot of people raving about the work of Antonio Cesaro for his match against Sheamus. We’re told WWE wants more out of Sheamus and they want him to prove his worth. In booking him in matches with guys like Damien Sandow and Cesaro, the company wants him to know there are other workers capable of taking his spot. Cesaro not only has support of WWE Champion CM Punk but Vince McMahon is high up on him as well.

- WWE is slowly moving forward with plans for Alberto Del Rio and Rosa Mendes as we first reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium.

- As for The Shield, there has been a lot of talk about putting another NXT guy with them because they want Roman Reigns to be the leader but feel he’s too green to even work a five-minute match and do not want Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose to go under at this point. We don’t know a lot in terms of the future of the angle other than they still look to be involved with CM Punk.

Would mind Swagger leading the shield, would look cool in that black gear + new look he has?

    • Nostaljack

Sorry; I don't get that at all. Swagger is about as compelling as drying paint. He would *not* be the right man for this job.

  • Gesusoliver

other than the fact they want a guy who is already on the main roster, why not bring up Chris Hero as well? He has proven that he can put on a great match. I know I know, "ROH" is a different beast. Instead of a possible illogical stretch for a former NXT put him there? Just a thought.

    • hurrigame

We could all use a Hero, right?

  • Ray

That would be a good roll for Swagger.
I'm just not seeing Antonio being a big draw and he isn't. Sandow on the other had is getting better month to month and is earning his spot. It would be a good idea probably to have them in a triple feud, Sandow, Antonio, and Sheamus and see who get's over more. Giving Antonio a push is like giving Zack Ryder a push, sorry. And they could of done many things with Z.Y.

    • Patrick Peralta

Antonio is a lot better then Sandow and can be a big draw. he was doing great on the indy scene. He deserves his push/

  • PainOfDemise

I know I was shocked when I seen that Kane won the poll. I know I voted for Bryan myself. Now that I know they rigged it and our votes don't mean crap. I'm never going to take part in any voting thing again for WWE.

    • hurrigame

I realized that years ago, when they used to have their polls on dot com. I've never looked back on such a flaming sack of crap as a RAW "poll" no matter what they call it.

  • MrCheese13

I was thinking having Michael Maguilcutty or how ever his name is spelt to be in the group and use his real name, I think he would suit well in the group

  • chris

Why would they make Reigns the leader of the group if he's so green? That's whats wrong with WWE! They push guy's based on looks and not on talent!

    • hurrigame

Vince has a hard on for Reigns or anyone who has the big, dumb goof look…past experience has shown that there's a 50-50 shot of them getting over. However, more seem to flop than get over. For instance, Sycho Sid vs. Zeus. Both were big, muscular goofs, yet only one was able to make it in the main event. The other floundered into the midcard and then onto WCW and beyond.

  • Patrick Peralta

Bring up Chris Hero to join the group if WWE feels Roman Reigns is to green , which I agree with I've seen his work in NXT and he is green.

  • Justin

The work of Sheamus has been fine for many months now. Not sure I believe this notion that WWE wants Sheamus to know someone can take his spot. He doesn't botch his moves, he's a crisp wrestler, and he doesn't make it so damn obvious he's talking to his opponent during the match like "the best in the world" does.

Also, another site has reported that the RAW interactive poll was NOT fixed.

    • izblack

      Agreed

  • partyjereme

Like I said yesterday someone posted on Twitter that according to TweetReach #WWEKane was up by 4 votes right after they announced the match on Raw. So I don't know how you can say Bryan clearly won the vote when he supposedly had less votes on Twitter when the match was announced, and he also lost the poll on the WWE website.

  • Andrew Owsiak

Anybody but dean Ambrose being the leader of the shield is a mistake!!

  • Jaryd

Basically, the only way you know that the voting is legitimate is if you have to pay to vote as they have done a few times in the past, because that's the only way they have a legal requirement to do what the voting says for them to do.
