#BadNewsBarrett Makes It To WWE Television - New Gimmick Debuts On Raw

Shares 0

Wade Barrett debuted his "Bad News Barrett" character on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. From a podium, similar to what Michael Cole used as the voice of the Anonymous Raw General Manager, Barrett hosted the segment, where the company flashed the hashtag #BadNewsBarrett.

In the segment, Barrett said he had some good news and bad news. The good news was they were live on Raw. The bad news they were stuck in an arena full of hillbillies and overweight miscreants who had to name their city after their state just so they could remember it.

Barrett debuted the character on The JBL & Cole Show as you can watch it in action at this link.

Barrett has been off shows in the United States recently due to work visa issues. As we reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com, those issues are now sorted.

Below is the Twitter reaction from the gimmick:

Oh puhlease, bad news barrett? smh

This just in: Wade Barrett requested the gimmick due to his secret hatred of the IWC. Sources close to me and Wade said to expect a ballerina gimmick in the future. Back to you Tom.

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is: Wade Barrett is finally back in the WWE! The bad news is: Creative has come up with this STUPID gimmick of Bad News Barrett for him.
