The thing is, Vince is a businessman first and foremost. He knows that doing things like "JR Appreciation Night" after the show goes off the air will give the fans present in the arena something to go home and talk about, thereby leading to more fans appearing live at the next show (so they won't miss the action that isn't aired), thereby feeding Vince & Company more money. It's a great business strategy, and I'm betting that if we could see the numbers, we'd see that it's working.

You would think they would cut some of the backstage AJ nonsense and show the JR appreciation bits, particularly so the viewing audience can see WWE doesn’t just consider JR to be the butt of classless jokes.

peronally, this new guy has equally won as much as he has lost in fights, so even though this guys had more experince, it clearly shows hes not that deadly as hes full of mistakes to be caught oyt. which means dave has a great chance or at least equal due to the fact even though wrestling isnt mma, you still need to think fast etc

…did I miss that? I watched all of Raw and didn't see ANYTHING about JR except for him being in the ring with Punk and getting shouted at. Nothing from HHH, nothing from Vince.

That might not exactly be good news for Batista. Changing opponents this close to fight day isn't a good idea and really should be avoided. He prepared for Evans for months, but now is a week away and is facing someone totally different. He better hope the promoter's found him some bum.
