Big E Langston On Wrestlemania 30 Main Event, Top WWE Stars In 2014 Are...

- Mike Jones (who?) interviewed WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston where he spoke on several topics, including who will be in the Wrestlemania XXX main event. Langston said John Cena is at the top of the hill and when one thinks of opponents, they need to consider Brock Lesnar and Batista. As far as titles are concerned, Randy Orton is the guy but there are a lot of different players. You can listen to the interview at this link.

- Speaking of main event players, Triple H went out of his way in this week's kayfabe interview with Michael Cole to mention Batista, Randy Orton, CM Punk, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar as the guys at the top in 2014.

Richard, can you please explain this Mike Jones (who?) joke. I honestly don’t get if it’s some kind of inside joke you keep referencing. Obviously it’s not a fake interviewer since you wouldn’t post a fake interview so what’s the deal? Is it some kind of heat you have with the interviewer since we know when you have to credit another reporter you don’t like you always credit his name as Mikey Johnson when we all know he doesn’t use Mikey.

    • Lebron James

You’ll only get the reference if you’re a rap/hip hop fan. There used to be a rapper named Mike Jones who would say “Who?” after saying his name every time. I find this hilarious! I always catch myself saying the same thing when I hear or read the Mike Jones.

Let’s take a minute to think God that Mike Jones is no longer relevant lol. I consider him, Lil Jon, 50 Cent and all that crap in the mid 00s the dark ages of hip hop

Richard’s allowed to have a sense of humor even if his jokes aren’t funny lay off him.

      • Venom

Well I’m glad it’s cleared up. I really had no idea what the mike jones (who?) reference was. I thought it was something like an Alan Smithe or David Manning reference.

So 2 part timers, 3 that are already at the top, and Daniel Bryan who needs a push for 2014? Hunter. You should be pushing more younger talent!

Big E can wrestle and has talent.

Unless there is a super marquee match like John Cena vs The Rock, then the main event at WrestleMania XXX should be the winner of the Royal Rumble vs the WWE World Heavyweight champion. We’ve had too many years of the Royal Rumble winner not getting that honour – an event like this is the perfect time to renew that tradition.

    • Andy

uhhh… WM 29 had that honour?

      • Venom

Let’s put it this way unless the winner of royal rumble is John cena the winner ends up on the opening match of the card. Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus come to mind. When HBK retired against Undertaker it was the closing match.

I’m honestly surprised royal rumble didn’t lose it’s interest in fans since being the winner lost its prestige based on the examples. It should just be if you win the rumble it’s a guaranteed wrestlemania match.

        • Michael

That’s a lie. John Cena won the Royal Rumble in 2008 and Undertaker vs Edge was the main event that year. Brush up on your history kid.

      • Bob’s Diner

I know, but Langston is acting like John Cena is the main event and the title match – if not including him – is secondary. Based on the last few years, that has been the case. I think with one title they need to get back to making the Royal Rumble match more important

        • Michael

Hi hater, because John Cena is the main event, get over it already.

          • Bob’s Diner

Wow such snappy dialogue. Thank you for such an insightful comment.
I expressed no hate at all. Funny how Cena marks like you always think everything is a dig at John Cena.

          • Michael

I bet you didn’t have a problem with Hulk vs Sid being the main event in 1992 or Steve Austin vs The Rock in 1999 or when it was Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker in 2010 now did you. None of the Royal Rumble winners were involved in that match. , you only complain when it’s John Cena. Langston didn’t say anywhere in his comments that John Cena was the main event or did he act like it. It’s just another hate filled John Cena rant by you. And believe me you have plenty of them on here.

          • Bob’s Diner

Firstly, Steve Austin won the right to headline in 1999 and that was a better plan than having Vince McMahon headline WrestleMania…

Not once have I said I don’t have a problem with those main events. Hulk Hogan vs Sid is a main event 90% of wrestling fans have a problem with because it was terrible and should not have gone last. Where in my original post did I attack John Cena? In fact, I called his match with The Rock an exception to the rule because it was such a marquee match that nothing should have tried to follow.

I was alluding to the fact that very few Royal Rumble winners of the past 10 years have actually gone on to main event WrestleMania, despite the fact that is how WWE always term it. People like you just read too much into anything and unless we are all posting “John Cena is the greatest” you think every post is attacking him
