It’s time once again for another WWE PPV! This time, it’s the Great American Bash! Without further ado, let’s get to the previews & picks from the writer of RAW is Blogged…..the Straight Edge, Rated R Superstar of The Blog Spot…ME!
World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk © vs. Batista
I for one am thrilled that Punk finally cashed in the Money in the Bank and won the World Heavyweight Championship. I still think they could have built him up better before he cashed it in but they’re doing a good job since his title win. Batista has challenged for the WHC so many times in the past few years. I don’t know how long this feud will last but I hope it’s over quick. Batista in the WHC picture isn’t what many people want. Then again, I might be wrong. But, I don’t see Batista winning this time.
My Projected Winner: CM Punk
WWE Championship
Triple H © vs. Edge
This match is slated to be the main event. This program has been put off for months at a time. Triple H is the main one that didn’t want to work with Edge. I guess he felt that Edge wasn’t on his level, let alone the main event level. We all know Edge can work with just about anybody. He’s the best heel in the business right now. I look for some outside inference to take place on part of La Familia. Whether they help or hurt Edge is a mystery. They could turn on him, thus making him a face. They could help him, continuing his heel run. I think he’s better as a heel. There’s certain guys, and I’ve talked about this before, that fit a certain role. Edge is that certain guy and his role is a heel. However, I think Triple H will retain the title continue his run.

ECW Championship
Mark Henry © vs. Tommy Dreamer
As much as I would like for Dreamer to win, I highly doubt this will happen. The ECW title won’t mean much as long as Mark Henry holds it. When Big Show held it, he actually made it mean something. Henry on the other hand is just a spandex dude. He’ll retain.

WWE Tag Team Championship
Fatal 4-Way Match
The Miz & John Morrison © vs. Jesse & Festus vs. Hawkins & Ryder vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle
FINALLY!!! I’ve been asking for this for a while. I just don’t want Finlay & Hornswoggle to win. Jesse & Festus have been one of my favorite teams since their arrival on Smackdown. Hawkins & Ryder have been Edge’s cronies and finally got their first win in forever this past Friday night. With ECW supposedly going to be touring with RAW in the next few months, it might be a wise decision to go ahead and do a title change. This is a good way to remove the titles from Miz & Morrison without making them look weak. It would be even cooler if Hawkins & Ryder won then Edge won. I miss those days when one group held all of the titles. For this one, I’m going with Jesse & Festus.

United States Championship
Matt Hardy © vs. Shelton Benjamin
This match wasn’t official until this past Friday. They’ve had this feud going for a little bit but I’ll be honest, I don’t know a lot about it. I know they’ve faced each other a few times and it’s too early for Benjamin to get the title.

Divas Championship
Michelle McCool vs. Natalya
This has been months in the making. Well, probably weeks but it’s taken forever. We heard the announcement a new Women’s title was coming to Smackdown: the Divas Championship. I think this is a very good idea because it gives the women of Smackdown something to fight for. Back in the day, they just had random matches and it wasn’t fun. McCool has been built up as the “face” of the division. It would be stupid not to put the title on her first. It’s kind of like when TNA brought in their Women’s title. They built up Gail Kim and put the title on her first, one of their few smart decisions. So, McCool will be my pick.

New York City Parking Lot Brawl
John Cena vs. JBL
The whole car angle was retarded. I mean, if you’re going to get heat on a guy, at least have the guy that got ran over sell it for a while. Grazed by a car? Yeah right. I think this one will be bloody. I hope it’s bloody. I get tired of these all out brawls that don’t have anybody juicing in them. I think JBL will go over in this one.
My Projected Winner: JBL
Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
This is one of the more interesting feuds out there. I know Lance Cade will get involved. Whether Paul London does or not remains to be seen. I like the whole dynamic of “this guy trained me but I don’t want to be like him” aspect. It’s pretty cool. I have to admit, this angle was somewhat confusing at the start of the summer with Batista, HBK, and Jericho doing random stuff. I think since Jericho jobbed to Kofi Kingston at Night of Champions, he’ll get the win here.

I wish Kennedy was featured on this PPV. It is too bad that he is a face know because Triple H is on smackdown and will most likely dominate the title picture for the faces

What about this for a possiblity: Edge cheating was a trick Edge and Vickie came up with. Remember, HHH said he never saw the tape before he showed it… When Vickie comes out, supposidly to get back at Edge, she helps Edge win the belt!

Match got a loud “boring” chant. Delaney turned on Dreamer to help give Henry the win.

Chris Jericho def. Shawn Michaels
HBK’s “injured” eye was busted open. If this was UFC, the match would have been stopped. Towards the end, HBK pleaded with the ref to let the match continue. Jericho won with “ref stoppage” as HBK couldn’t “defend” himself.

shelton and the edge fags as the new champs….i cant frikin believe this. shelton could do great things for the title. All he needs now is some more charisma. I hope Michaels isn’t out for long. Whose Chris gonna feud with next? Rey Mysterio? Kofi Kingston? Paul London? I look forward to where Y2J is going. He’s definetely cemented himself as a true and credible heel now thats for sure.

Jericho came out after the Divas match and told everybody to look at their ticket stubs, take them home & frame them. He said that’s HBK’s last match. He said HBK was diagnosed with a detached retina and that sometimes the good guys do win.

Batista def. CM Punk by DQ
Kane came out and destroyed Batista, which gave Batista the win by DQ. He then destroyed CM Punk. As he was walking out with his bag, he asked “is he alive or is he dead?” He then kicked the shit out of a camera man. They announced it as a double DQ, even though it should be a win in Batista’s favor.

Michael Cole just said something stupid as Punk was coming to the ring. He said Punk’s tattoos were good luck charms and he would probably need everyone of them. The thing is, Punk uses the expression “Luck is for losers” from time to time. Maybe Cole should research his World champion.

Vickie came down and took out Alicia Fox. HOLY SHIT SHE CAN WALK!!! They got in a cat-fight. Edge ended up spearing Vickie before Triple H hit the Pedigree.

I thought the Cena match was preety fucken good! you dont need blood in every match. Some of you guys on here are stupid beacuse cena was bleeding from his arm. Cena needs to turn heel and resume his title run! our turn punk heel. raw has to many faces! The edge hhh match was match of the night! Edge is a lucky dude. Looks like he has jungle fever!
Im glad shelton won. Now matt hardy can stay on ecw. Shelton does not need charsima. Just look at benoit. The punk batisa match was also good. Punk has some of the hardest kicks ive ever seen.
And he was so cocky after the match. Even though dave had him. Sorry but a big good wrestler. will aways beat a good small wretler. And yes dave is very good. Its not like the guy is in his 20s our something. And just as i thought Kane carrer was doomed he has became unpredicable again. I like how he attacks random people. He kick the camrea man! thats funny shit!
Oh and expect Vickie to bring back taker to punish edge.

I think the complaint about Cena not bleeding has to do with the fact that he was thrown into something where he should have actually been bloodied, if wrestling wants to look realistic, then getting put threw a window head first should cause some bleeding from your head/face.
I can’t agree at all with your “good” big guy will always beat a good small wrestler statement.
Most of the best wrestlers are not that big-Ric Flair, HBK, Bret Hart, Eddie, Benoit, Kurt Angle, and if any of them lost to Batista I would be upset because Batista isn’t really that good(sluggish in the ring alot, and finally added a new move(jackhammer) to his stale moveset after how long?) Umaga and Big Show a good big men.
Miz and Morrison lose the belts sad.
