Hello everyone and welcome to the on time edition of Guility as Blogged. I want to thank everyone for still reading my blog last week even though it was extremly late. It’s nice to know I have a loyal reader fan base and I thank each and everyone here for that. You can trust me when I say that was the first and last edition of ELB.
Now that we have the drama on the way let’s talk about YOU. You the fans that is. Now I know that this certainly does not pertain to anyone on this website but the one thing that pisses me off is bandwagon fans. This especially came to my attention when I was watching the Mr. Kennedy vs. Snitsky match on Monday. Answer me this will you. Since when does the average fan start cheering for Kennedy like on Monday? The answer is when Vince pours a fresh glass of Kool Aid and pours it down their mouths with a funnel. If you’re a Kennedy fan you were a Kennedy fan when he was feuding with Taker, when he won MITB, and when he fought HBK. NOT just when he decides to turn on Regal who’s a heel. I’ve been 100% Kennedy since his beginnings. And that’s the way it always will be.
Jeff Hardy made his triumphant return last night. What I found really funny was that JR and King said he was trying to explain his leave of absence. HELLO!!! They put up on the website: “Jeff Hardy has been suspended”. What other explaination do you need. Anywho I’m real glad Jeff’s back. Hopefully his jobbing phase can be skipped (which it looks like it is) and he can move straight up to upper middle and eventually MAIN EVENT status. If he can pick up where he left off he can be the wrestler of the year.
This is just a plug for one of my favorite Youtubers ever, Leg3ndKilla687 . Watch this video of a tribute to Randy Orton. It is incredible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjc7g8VwDcs.
On a side note what the hell was the point of having all those mixed tag teams at Sacrafice lose at the first round. If you want to mix something up make them champions. That would really create controversey. Just a suggestion.
I’m going to take a page out of Aaron Shaw’s book and create a contest. Along with you’re comments on tonight’s show you can leave it on the comment board or at AnthonyO91@gmail.com. This week’s contest is to give my blog a new name. I feel kinda cheap using the name Aaaron used and I’m too unoriginal to think of a new name myself. The winner will receive a special prize which will be revealed at a later time. I’m not joking when I say there will be a prize. And please nobody ask what it is.
So I think I’ve ranted enough let’s go ahead with the 101th episode of ECW!!!
Our show starts with a good video package of Delaney and his quest for a contract. These video making guys in the WWE are the best. Armando somehwat reluctantly gives Colin his contract to sign. He announces his first “official” ECW match with a man who’s already kicked the crap out of him: Mike Knox. This is going to be painful…. for us. I think we’re entitled to an actual match for crying out loud. Delaney shows some real potential so lets see what he’s got.
Our first match of the evening should be a good one: Miz and CM Punk. This match was not the best but it was preety damn good. They really put on a story and I thoroughly enjoyed the match. Miz has grown so much since the Diva Search days. It was good that Morrison didn’t interfere. Miz actually wins with the Reality Check. Well I think it’s safe to say that M&M wont be tag team champions next Tuesday. Also during the preview of Judgment Day Adamle said Kane and Morrison. Fire this guy already
So Adamle has Diva fever and we’re on to TNA’s favorite match type: the six person tag. Kelly, Cherry, an Michelle all come out to take on Natalya, Victoria, and Layla. You all know I don’t like Diva matches so to keep things short team faces won with a roll up.
Now onto feuds that do matter: Kofi Kingston and Benjamin. Benjamin once again promises to end Kofi’s streak and mentioned something about the place where the sun don’t shine. Kofi eventually pops up Benjamin pushes Kofi and Kofi then spears him to the steel. I cant wait till these guys meet again. This promo was great for building up the rivalry. I wonder what type of specialty match they could fight in.
We get a recap of Orton vs. Hunter. Look out for my prediction in the Talent Exchange.
We get another video of Delaney and all his beatings. His match with Knox is next. He comes out to some preety good music. Knox then comes out for the match. Quick Quick domination. Knox wins. Armando then intorduces to the newest ECW wrestler HIM. He too quickly dominates and hits a unique finsiher. Wow now we need a new GM.
John Morrison and Kane is up next. This match was given plenty of time and was the match of the night. They put on an even better story then Miz and Punk. Miz gets invlved a few times but Punk comes out to take care of him. Morrison focuesed on the leg of Kane. Eventually Punk and Miz fight outside causing the ref to be distracted giving Morrison time to hit Kane with the tag belt and hit a springboard enziguri. Morrison wins. They brought down Kane and Punk and celebrated. On a side note Morrison is awesome. I want to see him and HBK feud soon.
That’s it for this blog. Remmeber to think up of names and submit them. I will be back with Chris with my predictions later in the week. Adios.

How about this for a name “Blogged when I get around to IT!” FIRE O’Reilly!
May 15th, 2008 at 10:53 am
First!!! i agree about everything you said, and why did TNA miss the chance to put VKM together and give them the titles?! shelton said that kofi is lucky cause “he walks around with a horseshoe where the sun dont shine”.

Heh, funny that it’s the 101th episode. It should be known always as a “How to make a great episode of ECW 101″.
What can I say? ECW have upped their game to a near-great level since January. They’ve beaten SmackDown! in my opinion for the past 14 weeks.
Both Miz and Morrison have risen to the occasion and become main eventers, or in the very least, upper midcarders in my book ever since January. I enjoyed every single second of every match on the card (even the Mike Roid squash match, to a degree) which is more than I can say for Monday’s Raw. So all in all, if SmackDown! don’t put up one hell of a show, which you know they won’t, since they are SmackDown! and all, ECW for the FIRST TIME will win show of the week in my estimation. Yup.

It was a very good ECW indeed. You put Morrison in the main event more and I guarantee ratings will go up. As for the squash it was a squash. Only thing interesting is our jacked GM being a wrestler now. Smackdown dosent seem to good from what I read on the spoilers execept for what happens at the end.

Does anybody else have the feeling CM Punk won’t hold on to the MITB briefcase for much longer? XD Unless they do turn him heel, I guess. Morrison reminds me a bit of HBK when he first split from the Rockers and was heel. And no worries, stuff happens, glasd to see things are better, then, good blog!
If ECW would’ve been like the one of old, I probably would’ve suggested “Valley of the Hardcore Blog”, but now I don’t know lol If I think of something present day ECWWE I’ll put it up.
May 15th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
That’s a good suggestion. Sadly though we live in an ECW world where the fans are 12 years old
May 15th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
from what I read, smackdown looks to be pretty good imo… and the ratings of ecw will hopefully go higher eventually since they are at TNA level right now with the ratings. They need one more known name to compliment Morrison, Kane, Punk and Benjamin… and I mean soon.
ECW sounded like a good show btw.

like i said on the other blogs, i think punk will cash in his mitb at judgment day for the world title after edge beats undertaker.
May 15th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Not really. Just not yet. He’s gotta have a heel push
May 15th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
No Anthony, I think he’ll get the title before he turns heel, kind of like he did in ROH.
OH MY! You talked about TNA in an ECW blog! They’re going to be all over you!!!
May 15th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
wow..sounds like a good ECW.
im definitely gonna watch that.^^
i cant wait for the kofi/benjamin feud!
i think these guys will definitely turn heads!
a specialty match for them wud be a TLC mtch!
something tells me punk is going to cash that briefcase at judgement day. after edge wins the WHC,punk will come out, cash it in,turn heel and feud with the undertaker.
that wud be awesome as shit.

OMG NO TNA IN A WWE BLOG… lol j/k. Honestly guys, its their blog and they can write what they want. If ya don’t like it just stop reading it.
May 16th, 2008 at 5:56 am
Well I did’nt watch ROH so I never saw that happen.
May 16th, 2008 at 7:25 am
well said about kennedy i actually liked him more back in the day when he was getting a push on smackdown and doing his best promos including announcing himself as winner after the match.i think hes great still but maybe preferred him as the heel
May 16th, 2008 at 7:52 am
Ecw is gettin better & better. great quality matches. it may not be ‘extreme’ but it is very enjoyable. i look forward to it every week. morrison will be as good as hbk some day.
May 16th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Nice blog. I must take issue with you slightly about “bandwagon fans”. A lot of fans cheer faces and boo heels because it makes the show more enjoyable for them - after all, that’s what wrestling’s always been about. I remember Eddie Guerrero saying that he never liked it when people cheered him when he was working heel. He understood that they were just showing him respect, but he came from a generation when fans didn’t cheer for heels, and he saw his job as a heel as being to get booes. If fans who were booing Kennedy when he was a heel are cheering for him now, it just means that he’s doing his job right. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re all brainwashed fools.

Rather enjoyable show this week, and they gave the main event some time this week which was nice to see. I’m hoping the Miz/Morrison team get to keep the belts since they are gelling so well as a team right now. Only way I would be in support of it is if Morrison gets a shot at Kane since he did just pick up a win against the ECW champ.
The bandwagon thing is a big part of wrestling(well WWE wrestling) its how to keep things somewhat fresh actually. I mean we should like everybody for the most part but how fun would it be to cheer for everybody or mostly everybody(in the WWE). Like Martin said if somebody is doing their job right you should either be booing them or cheering them depending on what they do. I know its past a new day and age now where we can make our own minds up but it supports the storylines. Are you an idiot if you follow kayfabe just a little? I don’t think so. But I think there is a point in a career when no matter what somebody does they will get cheered like HBK, unless he did something something like walking into the divas locker room and giving them all SCM, followed by giving it to the King and JR, and a few fans just to get his point over. If somebody in storyline isn’t being a douche bag anymore why not cheer them and if they are can’t we boo them on TV. Give them respect when they are not on camera, and the right response when on camera and I think everybody could stop bitching about crowds sucking.
I know behind the scenes everybody but Randy is pretty much cool, I’ve met Edge and Lita once they were cool, didn’t hit me over the head with a chair or anything. But I knew later that night cheering for DX would be more fun.
I know in ROH everybody gets a good amount of respect but thats for a more mature audience, its just not how it really works in the E.
I see more bandwagonning on the internet, an example everybody claiming this and that about Morrison, where were these people when Morrison was Nitro? He all of sudden just didn’t get good in the ring in the last few months I know he was kicking ass with Jeff Hardy in 2006 and their fued.
I’ve stated before how it would be cool if Punk won MITB and turned heel, but thinking about it he would get alot of backlash since he already did that once in his career, you want to see something fresh from the guy. Why not have him turn heel, right before he cashes in his title shot? Edge was already a heel when he cashed his in so this would be something new and different with the angle.
Hope that all made sense and sorry if its kinda long.
May 17th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
Why don’t you make up your own name?
May 17th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Because I’ve been trying and I cant think one up. Plus as mentioned there will be a prize and if I dont get anything by my next blog I’ll have to reveal what it is.
