Pre-Show Notes:
Tonight’s RAW will be 3-hours and the Shaman of Sexy just hopes he’s got enough pretzels and Sprite. It will be a long night. Maybe they’ll have another Diva Dance Off!!!
They’re doing a King of the Ring Tournament and I think it’s a decent idea, just at the wrong time. On the go-home show for Backlash? Why? I don’t see what this will do, except get them a nice rating. It just paints a clearer picture that the booking crew on RAW books these shows from week-to-week. Wrestling is meant to be done over a period of time, not each week. It’s like Monday Nitro all over again. Show me why I should tune in to see a story the following week. RAW fails to grasp this concept. Over on Smackdown, I want to see what Khali’s reaction will be to getting knocked out after giving Big Show gifts. Wait, I just said that? I want to see why things are done over the course of a few weeks leading up to a PPV. I don’t want a one-night tournament, unless it’s just after a PPV and different storylines will stem off of it. If they’re having trouble filling time, just have a few in-ring promos. You don’t have to have 2 hours and 45 minutes of wrestling, or whatever they think will pass for wrestling.
Back to the tournament, I don’t have a clue who will win. I hope they will be competing for something, like a title shot or a main event push. Other than that, it’s kind of a waste of time to have a tournament if you’re just fighting for the hell of it.
Word has it the stuff with Senators Obama, Clinton, and McCain will be pre-taped segments. I don’t usually inject my political beliefs in my blogs but I’m not a fan of Obama nor Clinton. I don’t think their socialistic views will work in this day in age. Come to think of it, they’ve never worked in the history of the world. Obama sounds like The Rock when he talks. Clinton is a sham. McCain is a fiery guy that I can relate to. Either way, I look forward to the pre-taped messages from the candidates.
Also, for those that missed it, Georges St. Pierre kicked the piss out of Matt Serra this past weekend at UFC 83. UFC 83 was one of the first events I watched in it’s entirety because of my boy Michael Bisping and even Rich Franklin. It was a kickass event and UFC continues to grow!
Well, I hope you’ve got plenty of popcorn or whatever your snack of choice is because….IT’S TIME FOR RAW IS BLOGGED!!! This blog is done as the show goes along. Why? Because I said so.
RAW is Blogged:
RAW started off with the first King of the Ring Tournament match with Chris Jericho taking on Montel Vontavious Porter…M…V…P!!! This is a feud I would love to see for a long time. They had a good match thanks to the hot crowd. Jericho got MVP to tap out to the Walls of Jericho and we’re off to a good start!
Next up, CM Punk was due to take on Matt Hardy. Well, this is certainly starting off to be a great night! It sounded like Hardy was getting a bigger reaction than Punk was. Needless to say, Punk picked up the win.
They did a video game simulation of Barack vs. Hillary from Smackdown vs. RAW 2008. Barack came out with Batista’s entrance and Hillary with Mickie James’ entrance. That was funny. JR & King talked about the Fatal-Four Way WWE Championship match being made into an elimination match. JBL cut a backstage pre-tape promo talking about his many accomplishments. Did you know he’s the CEO of a company he owns?
After all that, there was another King of the Ring Tournament match. Who the hell invited Khali? Well, I guess King Khali could fit but he freaking sucks. His opponent would be Finlay, who needs to switch back to his green/black boots. The match went to hell in a hand basket with Finlay getting the win by DQ. This brought out Big Show and Khali backed down like a wuss. I guess Khali is playing the guy that wants a conflict, but only if he can attack from behind.
The next KOTR First Round match was between William Regal and Hornswoggle. What the hell? Regal won in a retarded match. They started off the night great and then that crap?
Oh, oh, oh SHAWN! HBK came out next for a little interview time. It’s amazing how this feud has been mostly promos and it’s working so well. Well, except for Jericho getting involved as the special guest referee. It was a decent segment. They kind of reemphasized the past few weeks.
Next up, they showed the Hillary interview. I honestly wanted to hurl.
Carlito, with Santino, was out next to take on Hardcore Holly, who came down with Cody Rhodes. Apparently, Carlito and Santino want to be known as International Superstars. That’s not my first choice for names but I guess it will work. Carlito picked up the win and Santino got on the mic. He called Cody Rhodes Holly’s friend who is a boy, which makes him his boyfriend. Cody got on the mic and yapped before he hit Santino with the mic. They then cleared the ring. Wow! Haven’t heard from Cody in a while!
After the commercial break, the talked about the WWE Championship match before cutting to a pre-taped promo with Triple H. What’s funny is just last month, with JBL in the ring, Triple H said that himself, Cena, and Orton were the best 3 in the business. Now, he’s somehow trying to include JBL.
Next up was the first King of the Ring Semi-Final match between Chris Jericho and CM Punk. No Kennedy? These two had a pretty damn good match. The thing is, since Punk got a win over Jericho, couldn’t he get an IC title shot now? After the match, they plugged the Osama-Clinton-McCain stuff again.
Osama Obama’s video was next. I don’t like him. At all. And no, I’m not a racist for those that are ready to accuse me.
Next up was the other semi-final match between Finlay & Regal. Yeah, I proposed last year or sometime that these two join forces as a tag team. They had a decent match but it ended with Regal stretching the hell out of Finlay. Please, not King Regal.
My choice for president, John McCain, was up next. He used quotes from The Rock, Ric Flair, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and even Hulk Hogan. He referenced putting Osama bin Laden in front of the Undertaker! And that’s the bottom line because John McCain said so! I suggest he come back later on for the general election. WWE reaches millions on their programs and it would be a big help.
They ran down the Backlash card before Super Cena came on to run his mouth. In case you missed it, my Suns got ripped this past weekend. St. Pierre beat Serra at UFC 83. Cena’s punk ass still salutes. Afterwards, they showed the ring being set up for a “match” between Obama & Clinton. Could Khali like, come down and chokeslam them both?
The Democratic Smackdown stuff was next. “Hillary” and “Bill” came down to the ring by Hulk Hogan’s “Real American” theme music. They had a “Monica” chant going. “Hillary” cut a decent promo. “Obama” came out to The Rock’s theme music. “Obama” cut a funny promo. He was almost as good as The Rock. They tussled around for a little while before Umaga came down. This was better than Trump-Rosie. Umaga basically destroyed them. I hope Clinton beats Osama. Go McCain! Now, we’re heading into hour 3 and I’m out of Sprite. DAMN!
Maria’s music hit and she came out with Cherry, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, and Michelle McCool. They recapped Mickie James’ punishment win over Beth Phoenix for the Women’s Championship. Mickie came out in some tight pants and I nearly…well, you get the idea. Mickie got on the mic and cut a good promo. Glad to see her talk some. Beth’s music hit and she came out with the heel Divas. It looked like an old high school bitch staredown. Michelle McCool slapped Beth in the face before all hell broke loose.
Mr. Kennedy…KENNEDY will return next week on RAW.
The finals for the King of the Ring Tournament were next and this seems like such a given that Punk will win. It kind of reminds me when I was at December to Dismember and Lashley was the last one left. We were kind of “forced” to “cheer” for Lashley. I’m not knocking Punk but it was easy to see Jericho & Hardy were both over more than Punk. Well, William Regal won the match and becomes the King of the Ring. I honestly think that’s bullshit, not because I’m a Punk fan but because Regal is the damn GM. He beat Hornswoggle, a beat up Finlay, and Mr. Money in the Bank. What the hell? I’m guessing somebody might be the new GM and Regal could get an IC title push. Interesting to say the least.
The Hardy DVD will be available next week and I’ve already got a copy pre-ordered.
The 8-man tag match main event was next. Orton said he had nothing to say and his actions spoke louder than his words. He did go down the list of PPV’s that he’s won. Maybe Cena could come out and speak of the year-plus list of events that he won. JBL came out, followed by Chavo Guerrero. And then…you think you know me? Edge came out and for I guess, one night only, Rated RKO is back together! Triple H was out first for the faces, followed by John “Mixed Reaction” Cena. I was hoping for a remix of Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’” for the Brothers of Destruction but Kane came out to his regular entrance. I’m glad to see Kane get a title. Hell, the entrances will take longer than the match itself! Just one time, I would like to announcer, “And from Death Valley, weighing in at 305 pounds, he’s the World Heavyweight Champion…THE UNNNNNDEEEERRRRTAAAAAKKKEEEERRRRRRR!!!!” Being a former announcer, I would love to do that. Kane moved more fluent in the match than Super Cena. The ending kicked ass. Kane hit a chokeslam on Chavo. Edge then hit a spear on Kane for the win. Cena then hit an FU on Edge. Triple H got in and got a Clothesline from Hell from JBL. Orton slid in and hit an RKO on Cena. JBL and Orton were face-to-face before Undertaker came in and hit a double chokeslam! That was a kick ass ending!
I give this RAW:
4 out of 4 ring posts
All things considered, this show really delivered in my opinion.
I’ll be back later this week with my Excess previews and predictions for Backlash!

Whats the deal with MVP starting off the match with a big old snotty spit to the chest of Jerico? That was uncalled for for sure!
April 21st, 2008 at 10:23 pm
Luke you are awesome! I mostly agree with all your wrestling opinions(especially Cena). I also love the Colts, Suns, but i freakin hate Boston (NYY fan)and btw Obama is cool
I dont understand. Regal?!?! I think thats crap… Kennedy deserves that push and i dont know if they are going to give it to them. What direction are they going with this?
April 21st, 2008 at 10:49 pm
the whole obama/cuntbag whore…err i mean clinton thing was lame. youd think theyd learn their lesson from the trump/rosie thing but no. i want mccain to win. people do your research on the democrats…you’ll be push for mccain too.
anyways, i hate that regal was king of the ring. wtf???? they should have had punk or jericho win. oh well.
April 21st, 2008 at 11:49 pm
what the heck sharpshooter? that was kinda random. i don’t get why regal is the king of the ring but i guess no one else really fits out of the 8. i still wish kennedy…kennedy was in it, but like luke said i guess they wanted to keep him out until backlash. i missed most of raw since i was at the gym but it sounds like clinton/obama was pretty stupid, although i think “if you smell what barack is cookin’” is funny. by the way, there is a great video on youtube called “it’s true, sucka” which is a mix of kurt angle and booker t’s music that sounds really good. its uploaded by a guy named themeanthology, who posts links to download a bunch of theme music, including unused ones.

Sorry about that Luke and Richard. No hard feelings and I didn’t mean to disrespect or hurt anyone.
Let me just say this and see if this mixes well together.
Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Don Muraco, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Edge, Brock Lesnar…………WILLIAM REGAL????
Either someone got in trouble backstage or Regal is going to be headlining a PPV in a couple of months.
April 22nd, 2008 at 12:06 am
Those were all of the People who won King of the Ring just in case if people do not know there history.
April 22nd, 2008 at 12:31 am
This Country really needs 4 more years of Bush. Luke, you must be some hick. Osama Obama? You may not think it, but you’re being prejudice. You really shouldn’t bring your political views into this, it’s bad business. As a middle-class/anti-war American, there’s no way my vote is going to McCain.
April 22nd, 2008 at 1:44 am
“Regal is going to be headlining a PPV in a couple of months.”
Yup I hate to say it but it looks like where WWE is headed with William Regal winning the KOTR. To be honest I don’t even have cable but I was checking the results on here and I must say that this tournament in a way was…. CRAP!!!
And really to be honest CM Punk didn’t need to win this tournament in all actuality b/c he already has the MITB but to be honest I don’t like the direction that WWE is going with CM Punk in a way I mean the night after he won MITB he loses to Y2J how is that any way to build a future main event star ? And then he loses the KOTR to be honest I don’t believe Punk is ready to be a main event player yet (as I said before) the only reason he has that title shot is b/c the winner of MITB was a last min replacement for Jeff Hardy getting suspended that all. And now I would be surprised if they did CM Punk like WWE did with Mr. Kennedy last year and make him drop the MITB spot to someone else.
April 22nd, 2008 at 1:51 am
That’s what is most likely going to happen. Either Mr. Kennedy or Jeff Hardy will get the Money In the Bank.
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:20 am
Well I have to wait to watch Raw still, but I was flipping threw the one of 3 channels that I get, and its the news, and the WWE got noticed cause they had something about the Canidates mentioned on the ticker. Also its on the main page of yahoo right now, even if we hate it Vince knows how to get his product noticed.
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:21 am
A Jeff Hardy/Punk match for the MITB would sooo rule if they make it an “Extreme Rules” match!
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:24 am
Somebody on another site pointed out that its funny that Mickie is the only face female that can wrestle(McCool a little bit, but I don’t like her) and most of the heel divas can.
And Lance there is a difference between being pro-war and wanting to finish something.
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:31 am
Lance: “4 more years of Bush?” That’s the last thing this country needs.
Kinaj, I understand where you’re coming from, but there’s a difference between finishing something and dying in a pointless war.
I hate that Regal won KOR. It’s not like he’ll get pushed or anything. CM Punk should’ve won KOR.
Also, Vince is trying hard to push a Tag Team Feud! Cody Rhodes finally got a little mic time.
The Divas Showdown was pretty cool, and I love how Beth took the slap. Most Divas go overboard and fly across the ring, but Beth took it. She is one hot muscular chick.
The Main Event was also amazing. It didn’t set the tone for Backlash, but it was a kickass main event.
April 22nd, 2008 at 9:02 am
Lance, they had politicians on. What was I supposed to do? Talk about the paint on my walls? Try researching McCain a little bit before you say “4 more years of Bush.” Bush can’t run for another term and McCain’s policies aren’t in line with Bush’s. But you being a middle class American like myself shouldn’t want your taxes raised. That’s exactly what Hil & Obama will do. Once again though, they had politicians on talking about policies, what was I supposed to talk about?
Kinaj is right, there’s a difference in being pro-war and wanting to finish something. If you ever build a house, if it’s not coming together like you want it, do you just throw up your hands and stop? Nope. I usually don’t put my opinions in there but they talked to the candidates. So, I put my limited opinions in there. Relax. It’s not like I’m using this as an outlet to get my political views across.
The idea of having Hardy take the MITB from Punk is good but I don’t see Punk losing the MITB. Hardy’s last chance has come & gone. Maybe he’ll prove Vine wrong.
Sharpshooter, you forgot Bad Ass Billy Gunn in your King of the Ring winners. You also forgot Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock, and Big Daddy V (then as Mabel).
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:03 am
Those Democrats always raise taxes. It’s bad not only for the U.S but the whole World and I don’t think Hillary or Obama can pull out of Iraq completely. They’ll maybe do a troop cut but the army will probably stay in Iraq for A LONG WHILE.
That is a bad thing.
You guys won’t have to worry about Khali for a while,he’s coming to India after Backlash and will probably stay for a month or so.
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:07 am
That link MVP posted is awesome.
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:12 am
Luke, Yea I was going to write Kurt Angle but he went to TNA. Bad Ass Billy Gunn wasn’t really a Main Eventer so I didn’t bother puting him in there along with Mabel and Ken Shamrock. What I am trying to say is, does anybody think Regal will be a main eventer? Does Vince seriously think that he will be a star? I guarantee this, in about 3 more years, we will be talking about William Regal being the absolute worst King of the Ring in history.
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:14 am
By the way, does anybody have a funny feeling about the WWE? I mean look at WCW. The reason why they got destroyed was because they didn’t develop their young stars. Does anybody think that WWE is sort of going on WCW’s path?
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:57 am
I don’t want to get into a political war, but the Dems want to help the middle/lower-class by lowering taxes and increasing minimum waige. They will increase taxes for people who make 200,000 or more dollars per year. McCain voted against the increase in minimum waige, and he supports Bush’s economic and war plans. A vote for McCain is a vote for Bush 3.
April 22nd, 2008 at 11:02 am
The WWE is fine. I don’t see why younger guys should just be given pushes. Let them earn their dues. I don’t want Cody “lisp” Rhodes being shoved down my throat because he’s young.
April 22nd, 2008 at 11:13 am
The government doesn’t need to raise the minimum wage. Let the markets determine that. The Dems however want to raise taxes for anybody that makes over 31K a year. They tried to pass it last month. Let’s try to keep the political opinions off the board please.
But Lance I agree, I don’t want a young kid shoved down my throat either.
April 22nd, 2008 at 12:05 pm
end the political debate already. All politicians lie and cheat. Its the only way to survive in that line of business. Lets also keep in mind, that there is more to government then just the president. So lets move on shall we.
I found RAW last night to be a rather boring show. KOTR is supposed to mean something. Regal? when was the last time he won a match? Better yet, when was the last time he was involved with a match that meant something? How do they make him king? Personally, the entire show came across as filler to me.
But I did get to see the HD version now that Dish carries USA and SCI-FI in HD. And let me say, until you see Mickie James in HD, you don’t know what you’re missing.
April 22nd, 2008 at 1:32 pm
No more politics! I agree. They’re all bullshitters, anyway.
The KOTR tournament was a waste of time after the Jericho matches. The only way it would have made sense is if Jericho won, went on a ego trip, and turned heel.
April 22nd, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Kennedy would have been perfect for a winner of King of the ring. “ALLLL HAILLL KIIINNGGGG KENNNEDDYYYYYYY…..KENEDDYYY.” BTW no i personally wouldn’t want punk to win the king of the ring. He already has money in the bank that imo is a big time push right there for anyone who gets it.
I wanted Matt hardy to win it then go heel… or have mvp win it and make him even more of a cocky ass (although hilarious). I remember when kurt angle won king of the ring his gimmick fit it perfectly. Now Willima regal is gonna make everyone bow down to him which might make for funny tv.
I hope matt hardy wins the US title at Backlash. I wouldn’t know who he would feud against after MVP though.. maybe Palumbo?
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I really thought when the night started we were about to see KING Hardy. Then I realized that the King of the ring always has to be a bad guy or its a waste. So I thought Y2J would be turning bad becomes King of the ring and say A King should never be a Reff and back himself out of the PPV match, Which would be the reason they had it the week before the PPV.
OH well that did not happen. lol
April 22nd, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Thats the problem. They could have used KOTR for any number of storyline branches, but they ended up using it for what appears to be nothing, but a glorified way to try and get people to watch. Hardy could have turned heel, Jericho could have turned heel (which he should do) Hell, they could have turned Punk heel. Any of the three could have used a heel turn to freshen it up. But they did nothing. You knew it was all downhill as soon as they had Regal vs Hornswoggle.
April 22nd, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Man, I still can’t get over how disappointed I am. Let’s see. You got the best brand in WWE, the best brand of Sports-E in the world. Featuring a great tournament like KOTR, have the best superstars featured and you screw up? How? How do you do it? Did Vince Russo substitute for WWE’s creative writing this week or something? If this is the kind of stuff WWE are planning to pull, the war of bad creative writing, WWE vs. TNA might be closer than you’d suspect.
ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE but Kennedy or Morrison were the wrong picks for winning the KOTR. Punk is way out of his league, he doesn’t have neither the talent or the skill to be pushed at the level he currently is. As I was watching the godlike Regal vs. Hornswoggle I was thinking, “Regal winning the KOTR is more unlikely than Batista ever becoming a good wrestler”, but hey, it happened. I just don’t know what the hell to think of this show.
Or, that is to say, I do. Good points in the show were the diva brawl (I’m not kidding about this…), the Obama vs. Hillary thing (hilarious, and who cares either way, the government of your country is doomed to fail anyway, why not make light of it?) and Punk vs. Hardy. So it’s a 9.4.
April 22nd, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Jericho/Punk. Tell me, who botched the spot where Jericho was going to drop Punk on the top rope? Did Punk not help enough, or was it more on Jericho having a hard time getting punk up for the move?
And am I the only who could clearly see Undertaker tell Orton and JBL “now” when he did the double choke slam?
April 22nd, 2008 at 6:42 pm
1. Mickey has got to have been on something, because over the last couple of years her face has gone from beautiful to haggard. I mean she keeps getting worse and worse looking every time I see her. She looked AWFUL tonight.
2. MAN! Did creative drop the ball on the King Of The Ring or what? I would have bet money going into it that they would have Punk win and use it to turn him heel (Not that I really care, as I find Punk rather boring) But REGAL??? What’s the point? How does this build the company’s talent? Can someone explain to me the business behind this?
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:02 pm
HK-47 since when are CM Punk and Batista BAD wrestlers???
anyway they could have done the KOTR AFTER Backlash and the winner this time could get a title shot at JD. but NOOOOO this KOTR sucked @$$ and had no meaning. to make matters worse we had the GM of RAW become the KOTR!!?? WTF?
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:46 pm
thanks adit. lets try to keep the politics out of here and just vote when the time comes. but yea regal as king of the ring will probably be the worst king in history along with bdv. maybe kennedy will come back next week and have a match with regal to become the new king?

Hey Tomas, are you crazy? Mickey has looked kind of different, but she is still the hottest diva in the WWE. By the way, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST WHY REGAL WON KING OF THE RING? RICHARD, LUKE, ANYBODY!!!
April 22nd, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Why isn’t Cena on your power listings, just coz you don’t like him, if he ain’t one of the 10 biggest superstars then you have something wrong with you
April 22nd, 2008 at 10:04 pm
Cena isn’t on the top listings because he was not here last week and he hasn’t really done much lately.
April 23rd, 2008 at 12:50 am
14 hours later I get to see Raw, after reading about it all afternoon cool.
Luke Regal should enter your power ranking at 10 not Batista, He beat 3 people in one night in less than 15 mins, Batista just got a double count out on SD and got on the mic some.
We will have to see what Regal does with winning KOTR. Billy Gunn probably the most useless winner of the KOTR. Atleast King Mabel went on to beat the Undertaker for the title at a PPV, first time that ever happened. Gunn on the other hand just changed his tights.
Kennedy could come out and condent for the KOTR title, turning him face and fueding with Regal cause when he comes back hes got nobody to fued with cause it looks like Jericho could be involved with HBK/Batista for awhile. On Raw its like your a main eventer, a tag team, a diva, or in limbo(Umaga, Jericho, Kennedy) with nobody to truly fued with, or on Heat trying to work a match with Jim Duggan or Snitskey.
I like that Raw main event being changed to a survial match instead of just a fatal 4 way. I think JBL out first, then HHH, HHH puts Cena down with a pedegree cause hes pissed then, Orton picks up the pieces with the RKO.
I would hate to see Cody Rhodes pushed down our throats, atleast Randy and Rock took some time to get big. Rocky Maivia actually sucked before he first ran in on Mark Henry’s behalf and gave ??? a Rock Bottom to hand Henry the win.( I thought he was cool with his shoulder breaker finisher, but he wasn’t over). With Cody being a Rhodes he has the chance of being big in the company along time from now. Let the Hardys, Kennedy, MVP who are all in there 30s get centerstage. Most of us are older than Rhodes probably, the only person I didn’t mind beating that ass and still being young was Lesnar cause he was fun to watch.
April 23rd, 2008 at 1:09 am
Anybody notice the king say Hornswoggle is a licenced competitor? I thought that was kinda strange but funny for him to say, I think thats the first time I’ve ever heard a WWE superstar called that.
I also liked Melina with the blue hair.
They really need to figure out what they want to do with Punk, maybe when Edge loses to Taker at Backlash, him and Punk could fued over the MITB, and Punk could finally pick up that big win since hes lost to Edge the 3 times they’ve gone at it, now that could work.
Adit remember not just the army is in the desert, I’m in the Navy and got a few boys over there shooting women and children.
April 23rd, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Honestly, I think Regal won the KOTR for a future push. Only time will tell because he could come out this week and get destroyed or undermined. If he comes out and gets destroyed, then it was just a time filler. If he comes out and actually does something, ok then.
As far as my Power Rankings go, beating Hornswoggle, a banged up Finlay, and CM Punk won’t get you in. Batista went toe-to-toe with the Undertaker. Case closed.
April 23rd, 2008 at 7:55 pm
If he gets a push, he better wrestle his ass off because I don’t think anybody wants to see him beat Y2J for the Intercontinental Title. Unless he does a corkscrew like Johnny Morrison.
I’m no I’m going off topic here, but do you guys no the story behing Lesnar vs Goldberg. Brock was supposed to win, but Goldberg was being a huge ass and they wound up giving him the win instead of Brock. Also, with Brock, it was suppose to be him and Triple H at Wrestlemania 21, not Batista.
April 23rd, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Actually, Lesnar was going to try & make it in the NFL and Goldberg’s contract wasn’t being renewed as it expired a week or two later. The audience turned on them, as did I watching it live, because the news broke before the match about them leaving.
April 23rd, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Oh I knew that, but I was saying that Goldberg is an ass and if Brock would have stayed then he would have taken Batista’s spot at WM 21.

Well, after seeing a lot of reactions, i gotta give it to u luke. Well done. Alot of people were already bashing regal. but imo, he’s a great wrestler. his style is the same with chris benoit. If u remember a few years back during the time which he was the wwe commissioner and using the “power of the punch”, he was quite a competitor. even y2j lose the IC title to him.
well, i’m a fair man. if they give the KOTR to him back then, i will support. but at this stage of his career/old, is it a wise move from wwe?
anyway, it’s good to see that Luke u was giving the man a chance to prove himself before judging him. For that, u got my compliment.
PS: stop putting hornswoggle into high-profile match like KOTR or winning cruiserweight title, it’s “BESMIRCHING” just like KING Regal would say it. oh yeah, i’m not a regal fan but just giving the man and luke some credit

And replying to a previous comment, the whole hornswoggle thing should be done by now… it was pretty good while it lasted, he entertained me actually… but it should be over, u dont want to over due it. Big point is, they need to stop pushing hornswoggle on tv

Kids like hornswoggle so he will be on TV for awhile I think. They could have put him down with the JBL angle, but Hornswoggle probably gets paid more than Jim Duggan right now, so like Mike Adamle they want him on TV doing something for his paycheck.

He’s doing it for his home country and for the people that he inspires over there.

Does that mean his students will learn about 4-5 moves? In that case, Cena might want to invest in it, too!!
