Welcome to the longest running blog on the WNW Blog Spot…RAW IS BLOGGED!!!
I promise not to Billy Gunn this blog.
HULK HOGAN IS IN TNA!!!
I received a text from a buddy with that news and it caught me by surprise. Hulk Hogan in TNA? Are you kidding me?
I know this will be dissected by everybody for the next couple of weeks so I won’t continue to beat a dead horse. I will throw my two cents worth in though.
This will definitely change the wrestling landscape. I don’t think Eric Bischoff will be able to replicate the exact success he had when he took over WCW. He can’t give away results to RAW. He can’t steal a lot of talent away from WWE because he’s already got a nice size of talent already on the roster.
Can he push the right guys to make people want to watch the product? Yes.
Can he challenge the WWE after a few months of the ball rolling? I believe so.
I think we’ll see a greater amount of success from Bischoff than we ever saw in the tenure of Vince Russo. Bischoff won’t have the billions of dollars to use than he did with Ted Turner. He doesn’t have the network capabilities to go on whenever he wanted to. I think with Hogan, he’ll need to keep Hogan from holding down the younger superstars like AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.
TNA has a stout roster with young guys. I think their longevity is greater than the WWE’s. I can name you at least 6 or 7 potential main eventers right now on TNA’s roster. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Lashley (cause technically he didn’t get a good run), Homicide, Matt Morgan, Elijah “Pope” Burke, Nigel ‘Desmond Wolfe’ McGuiness, and Robert Roode. On WWE’s roster, there’s guys with potential but they haven’t been built enough for anybody to take them seriously.
It’s going to be an interesting next few months!
RAW is Blogged:
RAW is LIVE from Worcester, Massachusetts with guest hosts Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne!
The Skinny:
The Ozzman cometh and maketh RAW somewhat enjoyable.
Opening Segment: Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, The Miz, The Legacy, The Big Show, DX
The show started off with Ozzy’s “Crazy Train” and then he welcomed us to the show. They recapped all the times that Ozzy had been on WWE TV. Ozzy said he didn’t remember those appearances and Sharon said they hoped to make it a night to remember. The Miz then made his way down. Miz then said that he was a bigger star than the Osbournes. Sharon kept doing a “really” line that became very annoying. Miz said that he got screwed last week and he wanted the referee to overturn the decision. Ozzy asked who the hell Miz was. Sharon hit another “really” before Legacy came down. They talked about giving Orton the car last week and DiBiase said that he paid for most of it. Rhodes said they deserved retribution against Kofi Kingston tonight in a handicap match. Sharon hit another “really” and the Big Show made his way out to the ring. Show complained about being assaulted by the entire RAW roster and demanded an apology. Ozzy apologized but Show said wanted one from the roster or else. DX then made their way out to the ring. They started off by burying Show, Legacy, & Miz by calling them ratings killers. I guess that helps get them over? Then, they plugged Ozzy’s new book, followed by their own. Triple H whispered in Ozzy’s ear and he made a match between Miz & Evan Bourne for the United States title. HBK said the only way Legacy would get to Wrestlemania was to buy tickets, which furthered buried them. Whispering in Sharon’s ear, HBK got her to make a match between Kingston & Randy Orton. Big Show said he could play the game too although he instead got a triple threat match between John Cena, Chris Jericho, and Show himself.
Match #1 – United States Championship: The Miz © vs. Evan Bourne
This was actually a good match despite it being very short. Bourne got in some offense and looked good. However, this match didn’t last long at all. Bourne tried to hit a shooting star press but Miz moved. Then, he hit the Stroke for the victory. I was hoping for some involvement from Swagger but I guess that’s too much to ask.
Winner: The Miz
Backstage, Josh Matthews interviewed Sheamus, who got little-to-no reaction. He said that Ozzy’s career should have been over and after his match with Noble, Noble’s career will be over. Michael Cole then said that Sheamus had run through the ECW roster. Well shit, why not bury ECW even more?
Match #2 – Sheamus vs. Jamie Noble
I personally wish Sheamus would come out to “I’m Shipping up to Boston” by Dropkick Murphys. Lawler said he had a unique look and seemed as though he had never seen the sun. Well, most Irish people are pale to a degree. I guess Lawler’s never been to Ireland. Sheamus pretty much dominated the entire match. He gave him a Rock Bottom-type back breaker and then a bicycle kick. Before he got the 3-count, he pulled Noble off the canvas. Sheamus continued the beat down but was DQed.
Winner: Jamie Noble
He ended up knocking Noble off the top turnbuckle to the outside of the ring. Noble laid outside of the ring, whimpering after Sheamus hit a powerbomb on the floor. They ended up carrying Noble out of the arena on a gurney.
They showed a factoid that RAW was watched by more males last week than any show on the CW, NBC, or some other cable network. Yeah, where’s the Monday Night Football rating? I’m sure it kicked the living piss out of RAW last week.
They recapped the events from last week involving Kofi Kingston & Randy Orton. But on his way to the ring, Kofi was interviewed by Josh Matthews. Kofi said he didn’t regret anything and Matthews stared in amazement, like he almost saw a woman naked in person for the first time.
Match #3 – Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
For some reason, I thought this match wouldn’t happen because it’s too soon in a feud to have a 1-on-1 encounter. Sure enough, before the match got going, Legacy came down & got involved. So, Ozzy made a 6-man tag match out of it.
Winner: No Contest
Match #4 – The Legacy vs. Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry
If you’ve seen one 6-man tag, you’ve seen them all. Legacy controlled most of the match but Kofi got the hot tag and went nuts. He hit his move set. When Orton tried to go for the RKO on Mark Henry, Kofi hit him with a dropkick. Rhodes jumped off the top rope & Henry caught him, then hit a World’s Strongest Slam for the win.
Winners: Mark Henry, MVP, Kofi Kingston
This was the point in the show that my cable went out. What pisses me off is there was no storm or any bad weather. I guess a satellite decided it wasn’t gonna take this shit anymore.
Match #5 – Last Divas Standing #1 Contender’s Battle Royal
My cable came out about half way through the battle royal when the ones left were Eve, Alicia, and Kelly Kelly. Jack Swagger had come out to watch and distracted Eve, which caused her to be eliminated. The last ones left were Alicia & Kelly. Kelly tried to take out Alicia but she threw Kelly over the top rope to get the win & future title shot.
Winner: Alicia Fox
Apparently, I missed the “RAW’s Got Talent” competition. Shit! Now I won’t be able to sleep tonight!
Meanwhile, Chris Jericho caught up with the Osbournes. He kissed up to Ozzy and then got down on the fans. He turned his attention to Ozzy & Sharon and said he’s better than them. He said if they crossed him, that would be the worst sin they could commit. They acted like they didn’t know who he was.
Elsewhere, DX was giving Hornswoggle a legal lesson while he was hanging from a hook. They said if he imitated them again, it would be big trouble. Horny did the crotch chops and Cena came in and rescued him. Cena said Horny was the reason they were all fighting each other. They joked around and stuff and Cena ended up saying they all beat each other all the time, which was actually funny because the Bellas were watching. They continued to joke and pointed out that the odds were against Cena. HBK complained that everybody was stealing their material. Well, I hope they’re not selling the PPV based on this match as it was treated as a big ass joke.
Main Event – John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Big Show
DX was at ring side for commentary during this match. They were pure comedy during the introductions. HBK apparently got a degree from the University of Budapest. This match was pretty much Jericho & Show dominating Cena most of the time. Cena tried to make a comeback but that was stopped. Show took out Jericho, giving Cena another chance at a comeback. After a little offense from the Big Show, Cena took him out, and then took out Jericho. When Cena got Jericho up for the FU, Show hit a phantom punch to knock Cena out. Jericho got the pin and he & Show shook hands after the match.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Post match, Show & Jericho were putting offense on Cena when DX got in to help out. They were dealt with quickly and Jericho hit a Code Breaker on Triple H. Jeri-Show stood and celebrated as the show went off the air.
I give this RAW:
2 out of 4 ring posts
The Final Word:
I thought this RAW wasn’t that good. The comedy segment I missed wasn’t that funny when I finally watched it. Ozzy did a fine job but Sharon was a little annoying.
They setup the main angles well but I’m still clueless when it comes to Miz & Swagger since they never did anything together.
I thought they didn’t do a very good job of continuing to push guys they started to push a while back, like MVP.

I turned off my tv during Raw talent thing.. just right after Santino came out… im getting tired of him and im sure many people are. But how was the rest of it?
I don’t know why but i totally dig DX’s cheap plugs.
November 2nd, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Good blog Luke! I don’t mind the DX plugs, but I do get sick of HHH thinking he is impressing somebody by constantly going off the script and bringing up internet talk. At least it probably means we all think he fucked his way to the top and is mostly washed up. Get a fkn haircut you bafoon.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:19 am
Hornswoggle is so damn annoying.
Ozzy was great, Sharon was a bit annoying, although I think they were both fun. Next week is gonna blow. DX on commentary actually entertained me. Early on, it felt like I was watching and listening to the slightly old DX.
Miz is awesome chant was great.
I expect the ratings to be sub 3.2 especially with how the football game was. Glad the Yankees lost!
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:45 am
First off, I listened to what, I guess, is supposed to be RAW’s new theme song. I have to ask the question, why are we not exposed more to this side of Nickelback rather than the dribbling pieces of shit the usually put on the radio? (Even though in the video, Kroeger still looks like a fruitcake.)
Now to the show. I’ll admit, Sharon did get a little annoying after she did the “really?” banter back and forth with Miz.
Miz and Bourne probably had the match of the night, even though it was as short as it was. These past few weeks have shown how much Miz has improved since just coming to RAW.
I’m smelling Snitsky #…okay, I don’t know what the hell that number would be, but, I’m seeing the same fate for Sheamus right now. If you’re going to move him to RAW, have him go up against someone with a shred of credibilty, not Jamie Noble. If they were going to do that, they should’ve kept him on ECW.
One quick question. Has there been a 6-man/diva/person tag match on RAW every week for the past few months? It sure as hell seems like it. They must be prepping for Russo to come back.
Totally agree with Alicia getting the title shot. I think she was the only option to make this match watchable. There’s going to probably be a some arguments for Gail Kim, but she hasn’t really showed her best since leaving TNA.
For the most part RAW’s got talent-not good. I kind of figured that going in. Best line of the night, though: “Someone get that man a bra.” Also, I actually laughed when Lil’ Bastard came out as Jack. Aside form the fact that Jack is about 3 feet taller than LB, it was a pretty spot impersonation. From 2002.
The E is really sending mixed signals about this whole PG business. On the one hand, they won’t allow any blood to be shown, but yet they’ve had remarks like the one tonight for the last few weeks. Personally, I hope Bischoff and Hogan can further help TNA become more of a threat to The E so they will cut this PG crap out.
I have to say, I was surprised that JeriSho got the upper hand tonight. I didn’t even see them getting past Cena, much less DX. Even though I see neither DX nor JeriSho winning at Survivor Series.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:48 am
Sharon did do a bit more talking, thus becoming annoying. Overall, it was a decent show.
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:14 am
I agree Sharon was annoying with her “Oh Really” bit.
With Even Bourne and Miz each have a win against each other I assume they have a 3rd match next week to settle their mini feud.
so far their matches have been good. Having a Miz/ Swagger to prove who is better would be interesting.
DX was funny as allways. Enjoyed their commintating.
Sheamus’s beat down of Jamie Noble was well done. But I disagree with Big D. while Jamie Noble is mostly a jobber theses days and is not at the top of the card like most of the Wrestlers. WWE doesn’t let him show what he really can do. He is better in the ring then what we see of him in WWE.
He does have some credibilty little as it is being a former WWE crusierwieght champion and ROH champion even tho WWE will NOT mention his ROH time.
Now a days Jamie Noble is just used to get Guys like Sheamus over even as a jobber.
To bad he is not on ECW Noble would be perfect for the brand.
All in all Raw was all right this week.
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:19 am
Raw was decent-MOTN Was Bourne vs Miz. Nice to see Jericho get the win in the main event.
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:51 am
Patrick – I’m not doubting his ability in the ring. Hell, I don’t think there is a single cruiserweight that they have let show his full potential aside from Rey and, maybe, Evan.
My point is on his credibility. That Cruiserweight title reign was back in 02, when he first debuted in The E. He hasn’t had a storyline since February of last year. (Although it was an exceptionally well done program.) I will agree that he would do better on ECW.
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:50 am
I can’t stand Sharon, and the “really” thing just made it all the worse for me.
Just one point in regards to your recap: I don’t remember the winner of Noble/Sheamus being announced. I was under the impression that Sheamus won by stoppage, much like how Brock Lesnar won most of his early matches against jobbers, not that he was disqualified.
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Well now hopefully the kiddies are done playing 12 year old games on here that would be great real mature guys real mature.
Raw was good
Ozzy in the opening segment the guy is kind of annoying actually and doesn’t have much to say.
Main Event was good. I was glad to see Jericho win. Cena will retain at ss and so will Udertaker.
I hope the traditional ss matches are exciting/
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Again with the E-drama, guys?
God damn, make it stop, get better hobbies.
And Y2A, I thougth you were above arguing with this kind of people.
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:12 pm
It seems like they have forgotten about MVP for now. I think he still has the chance to be able to get over is used in the next few months. Because eventually they would have missed the ball and it will be over.
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:40 pm
Relax, guys. That was just a discussion. No cursing, no calling people any names. E-drama was on the TNA Blog two or three weeks ago. I didn’t even see what those deleted posts were.
November 3rd, 2009 at 6:16 pm
does anyone else think that these people who are causing trouble on the blogs like y2a, trixy and valerie should be permanetly be banned from posting?
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Wow Raw still comes on at its regular time? I thought MNF moved it to another time slot!
Well to give you all some great news. Saints are still undefeated!
Now onto what was supposed to be a wrestling show!
Ozzy?
Miz and Bourne match of the night and opener?!?
Well I guess that is better than the HHH and Cena event from last week. That sucks I missed that match.
Survivor Series was back in the day was a big ppv. Now it seems that the E has watered down a great ppv. I remember back when there was an awesome 20 man tag team survivor series match. I loved that about the Survivor Series. Now in this era of wrestling WWE should make the whole three hours nothing but Survivor Series matches with the big three championship matches.
No, we get junk, trash that was thrown out at last month’s waterdown ppv into this one.
I would love to see new fueds. Kofi and Orton is the only new fued. The Miz and Swagger fued reminds me of Miz and Morrison without the high flying.
I would continue to destroy the E, but lets be honest they do enough to themselves by showing crap on their flagship show!
Luke even with your awesome 2 out of 4 ring posts you still rate this show more than what it was!
So yea hate me for expressing my views, but also remember I am only saying what most feel and are afraid to say.
WWE is what TNA was a year ago. Not saying that is a bad thing its just not a very good one.
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:50 pm
whats with this ‘watered down’ talk… Wrestling in wwf was much slower paced in the 1980s.. iv seen some ‘vintage’ matches and I almost fall asleep. The charisma and showmanship of the classic wrestlers saved them… this was the case at the very least in the main event picture.. still not sure about midcard/low card stuff.
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:11 pm
these blogs are watered down since I guess wrestlingworldnews.com went PG rated also
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:12 pm
Michael – Afraid to say? Have you forgotten the beginning of the about 2 months when we were all bashing RAW? I was calling it Well Done. It’s not like we work for The E and have to tow the company line. We have nothing to lose if we bash RAW, SmackDown, ECW, or anyone on it. If we thought it looked like shit, we would say it.
Personally, I though the show was pretty good. Ozzy was one of the best guest hosts that they’ve had so far. Probably because he didn’t talk much. I agree that RAW’s main event roster is looking like TNA’s from a year ago.
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:15 pm
Again, the only thing that can save this PPV is if jericho blows us all away and the belt stays away from the big show, but it doesn’t bother me if the undertaker has it for awhile. That shit has to be saved for Wrestlemania if they both go towards having a match. And the second chance to save this PPV is for the hhh hbk fued to start. If those two don’t happen, I’m going to start praying for hogan and flair in the 3rd barbwire match in TNA because that will definitly be more interesting than having to come up with something to piss people off on the PPV previews (y2a, trixy, val, patrick)
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:40 pm
Doug – I’m not completely sure, and luke you can answer this too if you want, but I think Richard is the one who does, at least, most of the deleting.
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:41 pm
I don’t see how you guys could get any kind of support other than the one you give each other.
And why do you guys keep harrasing Valerie?
November 3rd, 2009 at 10:06 pm
Big D & others,
I handle most of the deleting/editing of comments on the comment board. After last week, I’m keeping a close eye on what’s posted because of the immaturity surrounding some of the posts.
I would think that people could be civilized but I’m mistaken.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Raw was ok.
I’ve always been an Ozzy fan and I think he did good. Sharon was a little annoying but I knew that would happen anyway since she does most of the talking. A little errors on their part but nothing too bad.
Miz and Bourne had a nice match. Wish it could have gone longer.
The battle royal was mediocre. I feel bad for Gail Kim. She deserves a shot at the title. It sucks when you go from being the best in TNA to being eliminated first by Kelly Kelly. I thought that officials weren’t high up on Alicia and weren’t giving her another push. Maybe she could have a better match with Melina than Mickie.
I wonder where they are going with this Swagger and Eve thing.
The Sheamus beat down was good. I guess he’s gonna get a good push. Noble sold it well. I’m guessing their keeping him off TV indefinitely now.
I switched off Santino and Jillian and watched a little UFC Fight Night. Masters’s part was weird though. BTW I thought Khali was on Smackdown.
The 6 man tag match was good. I like this Kofi/Orton feud. It freshens up things in the main event/upper card level.
I think MVP/Henry should break up. The tag team has run its course. MVP should be in US title contention. A Miz/MVP feud would be good.
Jericho promo was great.
The triple threat was ok. DX was really funny on commentary. I loved how they picked on Cole for the Vintage crap. In that Triple threat the only thing I really liked was Jericho and I was happy he won. Show was sluggish and slow and Cena was Cena as usual.
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:21 pm
Val – Like Khali “said”, Masters’ part was strangely mesmerizing.
November 4th, 2009 at 12:22 am
I have something to say about your opening statement about TNA’s roster having more longevity than WWE’s.I think you are wrong because the WWE has plenty of potential main eventers. You do have a point with all of the guys you named.Except maybe Daniels, the man is 38 years old.Even though he can still really go in the ring he may not have that many years left. Now the WWE has John Morrison,Kofi,Dibiase,Rhodes,Swagger,The Miz,Mcintyre,Punk. And even though Cena and Orton are already main eventers they still are both very young and have at least 10 years left in their careers. The WWE has proved for years that it has longevity no matter what. The WWE is a multi-billion dollar business.Hogan,Bishoff, nor Carter will change that at all.
November 4th, 2009 at 12:44 am
I agree with brandon good point man.
Tna has alot to prove and i’m not buying that even with hogan it will make the company any stronger. Hogan is a wwe name , Nash, wwe name , Angle wwe name there recreating already main event superstars build stars of your own for goodness sakes.
November 4th, 2009 at 6:36 am
Although i see your point Brandon, you’d be kidding to think the guys you named are anywhere near the same level of the guys Luke named. And there is still guys like shelley, sabin, lethal to name a few that weren’t named. I do agree wwe will never just die or fade away. They obviously will still be producing some great stars but if TNA do things the right way then the superior quality of the TNA names can at least become serious competition to wwe.
November 4th, 2009 at 10:48 am
Raw was good
Sabin, Shelley have nothing on Bourne and Kofi.
Survivor Series is going to be sweet
Hogan taking over TNA well it was nice watching it.
November 4th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
there goes valerie again this woman sees the good in everythinh i could hit her over the head with a steal chair and she would thank me for it
November 4th, 2009 at 3:52 pm
Highlight of the show: Chris Masters
November 5th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
I Wonder if everyone who comments on here knows wrestling isn’t real? Sometimes i think some people really beleive its not fake.
November 5th, 2009 at 7:44 pm
MoVies aint real. nether is t.v. Video games, our books. So whats your problem BDJ
November 5th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
I agree with pinkdeath video games are fake and pointless so i don’t know where your going with this BDJ OBVIOUSLY YOU DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE BUSINESS.
November 6th, 2009 at 9:03 am
Ha ha yeah ur right i know absouletly nothing about a buisness i been watching before you took your first dump.. i commented because people blog likes its real
November 6th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
BDJ people blog about wrestling “like its real” because they enjoy discussing what’s happened in previous episodes and speculate upon anticipation what will happen at pay-per-view events.
Guess what? Even bigger communities do that sort of thing for other forms of entertainment such as dramas, procedural cop shows, law dramas, sitcoms etc. It’s nothing new.
November 7th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
Hopefully TNA does become real competition for the WWE so finally Vince can stop with all the crap he’s been putting on our tvs and give us a great product again. Come on Bischoff start kickin’ some ass.
November 7th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
HAHAHA i’m not going to be one of these immature children who fight over a blog you don’t know how old i am so as far as i’m concerened you don’t know much.
November 7th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Raw was great and bdj you are just a clown think before you talk bud.
November 10th, 2009 at 1:30 am
Had they done an actual talent show with some guys showing some weird and amusing talents (like Chris Masters did) it would have been a lighthearted nice little comedy segment.
It was garbage instead
