The Miami Herald recently interviewed Bobby Roode to promote this Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Among other topics, Roode discussed his upcoming match with Kurt Angle in the excerpt below:
“Having the opportunity to step into the main event – the biggest stage in TNA’s history, Bound for Glory, in Philadelphia on Sunday – to face the greatest wrestler in the world, Kurt Angle, for something that I’ve wanted, something I’ve dreamed about my entire life, to become a world champion, was definitely overwhelming, and I knew that the hard work was about to begin. The last five weeks I’ve been busting my a– in the gym, studying tapes and preparing myself for Kurt Angle.” Roode also discussed his run with Beer Money, Inc. and the future of his team with James Storm:
“We had a great run the last four years and really solidified our names with some of the greatest tag teams of all-time. I think James and I knew the day would come that we would go our separate ways, but that’s not to say Beer Money will never reunite and have another great run. I think now James and I are at the point in our careers that we’re ready to step outside tag team wrestling and prove to the world, what we’ve known all along, that we’re true main eventers, and we can go toe-to-toe with anybody in the world. I think we’re getting that opportunity right now.” Click here to read the full article.
