Bobby Roode's "Glorious" Entrance Was Originally Intended For Another Star?

During an interview leading up to the most recent NXT: Takeover Special, there was an interview with Shinsuke Nakamura in which he mentioned turning down the same theme song over and over again because he didn't feel like it fit his character:

“Before my debut, WWE sent me a sample of the music and I sent it back. I said, ‘I don’t want to use this, I don’t want to use this.’ They tried to keep it and I said, ‘No, no, no.’ Finally, I asked them if they could listen to some samples, and we went back and forth and finally they sent me what you hear now, and I said, ‘Yes, OK. I’ll use this one.’”

Rumours, which we can not independently confirm, are that the song he was referring to was in fact Bobby Roode's "Glorious" theme song that he uses now.

How would Shinsuke look coming out to that theme?

Smart decision. Glorious feels so “Western/Christian” for want of a better way to describe it, it has a very strong north american christian sound to it, that just wouldn’t translate well to Nakamura.
