Brock Lesnar-WWE Return Rumors, Surprises In The 30-Man Rumble Match, Daniel Bryan Weak?, RVD Back To WWE

If Brock Lesnar would return to WWE before his medical suspension is lifted, would he still be bound by it?

Medical suspensions are issued to protect the fighter; however, I’m unsure if it would prevent Brock Lesnar from competing in WWE ring. In order for Lesnar to return to WWE, he has to want to return and then be legally cleared of his UFC contract. Many in WWE are doubtful that Lesnar is coming back as Jim Ross made a very bold statement by saying he would be shocked to see Lesnar remotely near a WWE event in 2012. While WWE return rumors started the moment Lesnar announced his UFC retirement, we haven’t heard anything from Lesnar as of this writing.

Are there any surprises planned for this year’s 30-man Royal Rumble match?

I haven’t heard of any planned surprises for the 30-man Royal Rumble match but the company usually includes one or two every year. Christian will probably be a popular name to return although from what I understand, his ankle is still in rough shape. I do anticipate at least one name that isn’t a WWE regular to appear in the match.

Why is WWE booking Daniel Bryan to make him look weak?

WWE isn’t making Daniel Bryan look weak; however, they aren’t booking him like a World Heavyweight Champion they have full confidence in either. Yesterday I criticized his match on Monday against Cody Rhodes based on the quick finish and positioning on the card. Bryan will defend the strap on this week’s Smackdown against Big Show in a match that was taped last night. You can read full taping results at this link.

Do you really see Rob Van Dam returning to WWE in the near future?

I reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium on November 22, 2011 that Rob Van Dam was extremely frustrated with his position in TNA, however, noted he is still under contract. While similar reports are just now starting to hit the Internet, RVD has to be out of his TNA contract before a WWE return can be considered.

I can see them bringing Morrison back for the RR just on that one time appearence so they can have a spot monkey at the event

If Rob did want to come back to the WWE, he'd have to make damned sure he doesn't partake of his particular brand of extra-curricular activity, and he'd have to commit to the full time schedule, and have to accept he'll likely not be pushed to the moon. I don't see Rob wanting to come back to the WWE on anyof those counts, never mind all three together.

RVD smokes the real stuff, not synthetic, he also lives in Cali if I remember correctly. If he has a “pot license” and prescription he can get around the wellness policy. Besides all that, real weed is just a fine, no suspension.

    • Kerri

Testing positive for synthetic weed, a.k.a.- 'Spice', is what will result in a wrestler getting suspended.
Testing positive for just basic, natural weed only results in a $2,500.00 fine.

To be fair, synthetic or genuine, I don't know the difference. Don't touch the stuff myself. Not too familiar with US law on that either. My bad, perhaps. Still don't see him coming back though.

I would not mind seeing Brock come back just for one match against Undertaker and Mania. After all, both Brock and Taker are trained in MMA and it could make for one great final Mania for Taker.

    • Nameless one

I know a lot of people are excited to see brock come back, but to me i think him and taker fighting at mania would be a major letdown. Also has anybody considered the fact maybe taker might pass on the torch this year (if it is his final year).

If RVD isnt happy with his spot in Impact how much worse will it be in WWE. An aging star who embarassed the company when strapped went to Impact and publicly badmouthes HHH his humbling at the hands of HHH and VKM will be epic.

  • Dylan

I would love to see RVD return but WWE might misuse him like TNA is.

    • Alex

True, but at least he'll get paid well in WWE.

Brock to be a surprise return in the Rumble and start clearing alot of mid carders from the ring only to be eliminated by another returning and shock entry The Undertaker. Brock could then pull the taker out from the ring costing him his chance of winning the Rumble and instantly set up a reason to feud at Mania.

It’s been done many times, but I like it.
