Brodus Clay’s Delayed WWE Debut Becomes An Angle

The following is from the official Twitter account of John Laurinaitis:

And to those wondering why Brodus didn’t debut tonight, I have my reasons. He will debut next week, I promise. Why would I lie? #Raw

As you can see, Clay’s delayed debut on WWE Raw Supershow is an angle. I’m not sure when it turned into an angle but clearly it’s part of Laurinaitis’ gimmick.

I'm guessing that Brodus will eventually get tired of his delayed debuts and instead, he will interrupt random matches or he will come to the ring and squash whoever is in the ring, dominating each week. It will get on the GM's nerves. He may feud with Laurinaitis and Otunga, thus he may turn himself into a tweener or a babyface.

  As desperate as I am to see Brodus return, I'd settle for seeing the big guy take on Laurinaitis and Otunga. The guy has a lot of potential and it's being wasted. I know I'm not the only one that's being horribly reminded of the hype for Glacier about 15 years ago.

Brodus Clay will be the man to get the title off of Punk. Not a hope of mine that he is, but if we're waiting this long for him to come back, it must be that Clay is going to be the dude Laurinaitis brings in to beat Punk. At least, that's how I think the storyline goes. If it ain't Del Rio or Ziggler (I suspect Punk will retain against Ziggler), it's gotta be Clay.

It is a good thing he didn't debut last night he would have been lossed in the midst of Jericho's return and the angle with Kane. He needs to make an impact and he wouldn't have last night

I think they are in a difficult position with his debut. His character is obviously going to be similar to Mark Henry and it's a challenge to have two people with a similar gimmick – especially now that Mark Henry actually shows up on the Raw "Supershow" each week. I don't know what they can do to differentiate it much. I think the same thing can be said for Ezekiel Jackson too.

I'd Raither see Brodus get tired of waiting around and start appearing and make Johnny Ace's life hell by attacking random people. I'd like to see him at Otunga and johnny Ace.

Heres how i see it. CM Punk beat dolph at the royal rumble, Johnny Ace come out and says that Punk has another challenger. Its Brodus Clay. I know it would be ridicoulousy early for WWE to put the strap on him, but thats what i think will happen.

  Jericho to (end the world as we know it) start a faction, maybe new NWO with Nash and Brodus is brought in to that, wwe needs a good faction at the moment, and a reworked NWO could be great if done right

  To be fair you could say he’s the next *pick any big man*. People feel compelled to compare these days. Perhaps Brodus should be considered the first Brodus. Not next someone.

The sad thing is that Brodus would've been on tv by now if he hadn't of bragged about being the one that was originally suppose to take out Morrison on twitter.

He is being punished, because he was supposed to be the one to take out John Morrison, instead it was changed to The Miz. Brodus leaked it out on Twitter.
