Bully Ray Pressed For A Non-Kayfabe Response To Devon Leaving TNA Wrestling

Richard Gray October 8, 2012 TNA News 7 Comments

The Phoenix News Times has a new Q&A online with Bully Ray. Ray, fully in character, is pressed to give a non-kayfabe answer to Devon leaving TNA Wrestling. Below is an excerpt:

What are your feelings about Devon leaving TNA?
I really could not care less about Devon. I haven’t cared about Devon in almost two years. If Devon didn’t let Chris Sabin kick out of the 3-D, I would’ve never blasted him in the back of the head and turned on him. Devon is not my concern. I have one business interest in Devon outside of TNA and that is [our] professional wrestling school, the Team 3-D Academy. Other than that, I really don’t care about him.

Could you comment on Devon leaving TNA in a non-kayfabe way?
I don’t understand. Non kay…what?

Not in character.
I’m giving you my legit answer. I…really…don’t…care. Whatever he does with his time, and whatever he wants to do is fine. We have one business interest that is extremely successful, so we choose to continue with that successful business interest, which is our wrestling academy. Other than him deciding not to sign, his business. He doesn’t want to be with TNA, his business. Whatever he decides to do with his life, his business.

It's nice to see him keep in character, but does he realize how much of a moron it makes him come across as?

    • Bigdaddychuck

Not really sure but it may come across as him in character but if he and Devon aren’t friends anymore than he was being honest..

    • kevin

He’s a Dick in real life.

      • Wainwright

He’s just always kinda seemed like a prick to me. Even when he was a face, he just has that air of douchebaggery to him.

I have heard that Devon is more likable than Ray IRL and that was part of alot of issues they had in all the Promotions they were in as a Tag Team. Ray is in an excellent position in TNA though his persona DOES get annoying at times and Devon always seemed ALOT into helping the younger generation along, in more ways than just their school. The School is awesome and I think Devon would end up as a GREAT producer/ trainer for WWE or ROH or even TNA though they have Dlo, SImon and Al Snow

Considering wwe were willing to have Devon back but not bubba that says something and I think this is in character after 20 or so years together I don’t see bubba just I don’t care what Devon does anymore.
